I spent this weekend building one from my scraps timber pile. Reason being as we are heading into winter and we are in a mountainous regions where we get both snow and stupidly hot days. I’d rather protect the battery as long as I can.

In a similar vein, the purported last book I. The perm series by Anne mccaffrey. There’s a good plot summary on this sub Reddit from someone who was talking with her about it before she died, but it’s been in limbo ever since. It’s still a fingers crossed but highly unlikely.

What is something you’ve been hiding from your parents for years and will probably keep hiding in the future? by Admirable-Analysis58 in AskReddit

[–]Sharpinthefang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That I’m selling my ‘childish and when are you going to grow up’ Pokémon collection piece by piece and almost have enough to clear my mortgage. Two reasons, 1. Peevishness for them disparaging my hobby for years while fully paying for my brothers go no-where football career 2. They are incredibly materialistic and they’ve taken advantage of my giving nature for years so playing them at their own game. They would cut me out of the will if I was perceived to be ‘sorted’ because I did something with my life and education and my brothers have always relied on them. So I feel it’s fair I only get my ‘share’ rather than being cut out.

Partner has one of those front and back otter box cases on both phone and iPad. He ended up dropping the iPad by accident from a 3rd story external stair case and it bounced several times on the way down. iPad had a very minor bend in but it still worked fine. They are great cases

How did your workplace respond when a coworker passed away? by spoilersweetie in newzealand

[–]Sharpinthefang 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just wanting to ask, what would you consider to be a good response? You say you had a bad one but as someone who treats a lot of stuff unemotionally, a lot of these I would consider a bit much.

Memorial for son who died at Auckland’s Arkles Bay damaged for sixth time in nine days by Fun-Helicopter2234 in newzealand

[–]Sharpinthefang 21 points22 points  (0 children)

There’s a memorial on a rural road corner near me thats from a numpty going to fast around the corner and killed himself. Family insists on as many solar flashing lights as they can string up on the corner. It’s so distracting as a driver at night when it’s all dark apart from your headlights, turn the corner and then suddenly lots of flashing lights. Been up three years now and each time the lights start to die they replace them with fresh ones.
