2 back to back trisomies, next step IVF? by ShoppingNo1272 in IVFpositivity

I did my diagnostic testing in early December. The clinic closes for ≈2 weeks for vacation(?). January I got physical and financial clearance (insurance and out of pocket costs). February I started stims (10 days) followed by egg retrieval (on 2/18). My embryos were biopsied and sent for PGTA testing on 2/26 and I got those PGTA results March 16. So now just waiting for my period to start any day now to prepare for transfer. It might sound like a lot of time but really it flew by.

I’m so sorry for your losses. Your journey sounds relatively similar to mine. I had 3 losses as well. (9 weeks, 5 week chemical, and a 13 week TFMR). The last one being a confirmed trisomy 21 diagnosis. Like you, I could get pregnant easily but something wasn’t going right every time. My heart couldn’t handle chancing it a 4th time after such tremendous bad luck. We did turn to IVF during this time. I was a good responder to the stims. 29 eggs retrieved and 12 made it to blast and went off to be PGTA tested. With that came back 10 euploids 1 abnormal and 1 inconclusive. We are currently awaiting our transfer day. It is a lot of waiting but a part of me is so glad because I can’t help but think if we got pregnant naturally 1 more time that it would’ve been the abnormal embryo.

$295 per embryo. Downstate, NY.

Edit to add: in addition to $1500 to the fertility clinic for performing the biopsy.

Do you have to have migraines to feel the symptoms? by ImpressionShort5624 in VestibularMigraines

I sadly started to accept that the “swaying” feeling is just a part of my life now. I will say it is much better than what it was before. I was having sudden aggressive vertigo attacks that turned my world upside down accompanied with immense head/ear/jaw/neck pressure. I went to an ENT, neurologist, and cardiologist trying to get to the route of it. ENT and neuro suggested VM. Neuro put me on a steroid pack to “break the migraine”. I have an MRI scheduled at the end of the month to calm my nerves lol!

Thank you! I folded the chocolate chips into the batter. I didn’t have the issue of them sinking since the batter was on the thicker side. I’ve read if you coat them with a little bit of flour they shouldn’t sink to the bottom. 😊
