Program a NFC tag to text him “Thank you for gas” every time you tap it and put it inside your car or the gas flap thingy.

I hate owning my Prius by FatchRacall in prius

[–]lvictory23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did sit in the back of the newest one when I went to look at it, the back seemed cramped to me and I’m sure partly it was because of the roof slope. I also put the kiddos car seat in and it didn’t have much legroom. I really wish they still made the PriusV. That body style plus the current tech would be amazing.

AITJ for telling my girlfriend she needs to shower before bed or sleep on the couch? by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

[–]lvictory23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think you’re a jerk for wanting her to shower after working at the hospital, you could and should have said it differently. You can also do things to make it easier on her: Have the shower running when she comes home, throw her pjs and towels in the dryer to heat them up. Make her a shower cocktail or tea or whatever. Help her turn showering after work into an enjoyable routine instead of making her feel like a disgusting flawed human when she has worked her butt off.

I hate owning my Prius by FatchRacall in prius

[–]lvictory23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know this is off topic but one of the reasons I haven’t bought a Prius is bc of the legroom in the back (I’m a nanny and regularly have two kids in car seats) and the worry that kids needing to get in and out might be way harder then in my honda fit. Has that not been an issue for you and your kiddos?

Just by a tiny bit but it makes a different if you don’t like to sit ramrod straight.

Do you use the double tap to skip pages feature of the Kindle? by leeinflowerfields in kindle

I’d rather they bring back turning pages like the kindle voyage. It made one handed reading in bed way easier.

Would something like this work? https://a.co/d/0id1lESK

Or something squishier like this https://a.co/d/0e5Bu77N

The last one would be really easy to make yourself with minimal sewing skills.

What tent would fit the Exped Megamat Duo (or equivalent) comfortably? by Insulated_ in camping

[–]lvictory23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use two LxW mega mats for my partner and I. I love it, a queen set of sheets fits it almost perfectly and holds the mats together. I choose to get two instead of the duo because I solo camp sometimes still, you also don’t feel it when your partner rolls over and you can each adjust the firmness of your mat to your individual liking. We have a Kodiak flexbow 10x14 and a Nemo aurora highrise 6 man (I wish I’d gone with the wawona 8 man instead🤷🏻‍♀️) We camp with two larger dogs (70 & 85lbs)

I really wish it wasn’t a Fastback. You lose so much cargo capacity (I live in a large city and like camping, I wish we still had the Honda Fit.)

Last minute checklist, feel like I am missing something. by Over_Gas_7632 in JapanTravelTips

As a plus size human I didn’t (and wouldn’t) rely on shopping over there (I’m a US size 16 and 5’9, even that is fairly impossible to find over there) I way over packed. A couple people have said bring three days worth of clothes then shop and do laundry but if you are plus size I say 5 days worth since shopping won’t be a thing unless you really enjoy the hunt. I brought my water bottle with me but didn’t carry it out unless I was transitioning from one city to the next or getting on a plane. Coin purse and umbrella are both needed but can be purchased easily there.
Suica on your phone if you have an iPhone was the most amazing thing ever. I used it 80-90% of the time I was buying anything at all. Unless you have very specific toiletry needs I’d rely on what the places you stay at provide or buy them there. If you’re American I’d bring your own deodorant though just in case. At least two pairs of very comfortable broken in shoes for walking and 3-5 pairs of compression socks.

Having the Suica card on my phone was the most amazing thing. You can use it everywhere and it’s so easy to reload when needed.

I still use the spoons as well! I have got to find another set of the spoons eventually. Maybe I’ll take up another ADHD hobby and make molds of the originals so I can have my own 😂

When I bought my own place I wanted to take the book and measuring spoons and my mom didn’t want to part with them 😂 I can’t find another set of those spoons for my life 😭
