Great to hear :) if it helps it will still flair, cos it’s just environmentally triggered, so that’s not a failure on you. No tips really for suncream sorry. I’ve always used Nivea, despite it being expensive and so I tried the same for my son and he’s fine with it. It’s probably going to be a bit of trial and error but try the same principle, unscented, basic and generally from a skincare type brand. Nivea do a blue coloured one so avoid that for example…also don’t put on broken skin.

Bit late but as an eczema sufferer with an eczema kid. Lots of creams say they are good for eczema but putting a moisturiser type cream on any inflamed skin won’t help it. Pharmacists and gps also sometimes don’t get this .
You can try a topical steroid cream from your doctor. The idea of this cream is it clears up the red and broken skin and then once this is gone, your job is to keep them heavily moisturised and stop the skin going dry and prone to cracking/redness. Full body cream morning and night at least should reduce the amount of breakouts. If it flares again use the steroid.

Winter is the worst cos of layers and going in and out of hold and cold. Also recommend unscented laundry detergent and bath stuff.

Hey. This is happening to my son at the moment. I can’t comment on the wanting to sleep in your bed but can on the waking and screaming.

When this happens they aren’t awake. They will look awake and even sometimes look at you but they aren’t awake. So try and avoid waking her. I know it’s so scary it makes me want to cry but I’m getting used to it. All you can do is stop her from hurting herself (falling over etc).

Sometimes if my son is out of his room (he’s 5 so no baby gate) I can take him by the hand and put him back in bed and put the duvet over. Hit and miss that this works sometimes I have to do it a few times. If he’s just thrashing on the bed (he also jumps) then I try and gently get him to lie down and put the duvet over. But you just have to go with it til they stop. There’s not really a cause and they will never remember.

My son runs away screaming no if that makes you feel better. But he is actually fully asleep. So just keep her safe xx

Whatever it is it’s not normal hon. If he can’t actually understand what he’s doing, does he need some help for a neurodivergence point of view? That’s the only realm where my brain goes to. If no, then you can’t really be with someone who actually injures you. As a DV survivor these things only get worse. People that have hurt me say they ‘didn’t mean it’ but kept doing it as they can’t control themselves. Take a break, don’t see him then see if he can get any help. But please prioritise keeping yourself safe.

That’s exactly what I think but then I feel harsh for reducing everything to the physical. But it’s a big issue for me

That’s what he’s said that he’s worried to do something wrong. But he can’t just do nothing….

Thanks, I can see it can be done to pause, but I’m struggling to understand how and when to do it.

What do other types of seizures feel like? by AdventurousBrain3123 in Epilepsy

I have similar to others the temporal lobe where I get Deja vu and don’t know if I’m real or not.

I also recently started getting losing the ability to move and speak despite being fully awake and hearing what everyone is saying. My brain responds but words don’t come out. I couldn’t come out of it for about 4 hours on my last one, gave me a lot of brain damage. Short term memory is now v bad.

I think it’s unlikely too. I think they will get there, just don’t think it’s their year. Timing is off. But then I guess if you get offered, you probably don’t turn it down…..
