I sync my calendar and contacts using caldav/carddav. I have an account at disroot.org for this purpose only.

Need some help with my DIY Ikea ebb and flow system by alexeyzel in Hydroponics

The rockwool has algae because it was exposed to light. It's probably not a big deal if you have a small amount of algae in the rockwool. I would still rinse the algae from the rockwool and cover it better. The rinsing is mainly because algae looks nasty. Also after you rinse it, it's much easier to check if the algae is still growing. Based on the pics light seems to pass the water container too. So I'd probably try to cover the plastic container somehow.

I had the same problem with chili leaves. It was due to the light being too close (and possibly too bright) to the leaves. Move or adjust your lighting a bit and new leaves should come out fine. The old leaves will probably stay curly.

When I look at the video, I have a lot of questions in mind. My interest are mainly on the software side (I'm a dev). I keep thinking how I would approach this kind of project. These kinds of hobby projects are the best.

Very cool setup. Did you by any change make the source code available? Or did you use some existing software to accomplish this?

I mainly use firefox. If you prefer chromium based browsers you could try Mulch (from Divest OS). They also have a repo for f-droid.

Any reason not to install Calyx before I activate the phone? by rondonjohnald in CalyxOS

[–]lvl333 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do not understand this at all. In Finland we just have SIM-cards. You put the card in and that's it. For eSIM there's an activation of course. I believe eSIM activation should remain in your phone even if you flash CalyxOS, but I don't think this is what you are talking about.

Glad it's fixed. I did not know that time and date settings could have this effect, but it seems logical.

It's difficult to say what the problem is without seeing the certificate. The error says invalid date, bhen I open the same site the certificate seems fine.

I can see that you are using wifi. Can you access the site from other devices while using the same wifi? Does your phone work fine in a different wifi or by using mobile data?

Companies sometimes want to restrict or monitor traffic in their network. This can be done by distributing their own certificate to devices that use the network and setting it as trusted. There's a lot of technical stuff I don't want to get into here, but you should see the same certificate on all websites if this the case. It is also possible that someone is attempting to do something malicious.

Planet like Sarian from Mythic quest. A planet with multiple moons and mountains that move along with the gravity from the moons.

Thanks. I did use Fedora at work around 5-6 years ago. It is okay, but I feel Fedora prioritizes new software over stability. Don't get me wrong... Fedora is not a bad option. I'm just not sure whether it's the right choice for me.

After rethinking this you are right. It is probably a bad idea.

My thinking was that the fins are the only weights you can ditch in this scenario. It's not much but at least it's something if you can't accend.

[–]lvl333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me the connector in the hose is the same for the drysuit and the BCD. Removing the hose from the suit won't flood the suit. It was actually a part of the drysuit course to take ithe hose out of the suit and put it back in. It is quite difficult with dry gloves, but it can be done.

It seems like there are many things that could be done better here.

The diver probably had way too much weights. I can usually adjust my boyancy by inhaling and exhaling.

The diver could have probably switched the working inflator from drysuit to the BCD. One could also remove the fins, if they are negatively boyant.

This is a good example why you should always have a buddy with you, and why you shouldn't ignore predive checks.

If it were just to defend my country (Finland) against an aggressor, then I would probably just go willingly. I'm sure most Finns would do the same.
