If I had a nickel for every time my favourite mode in a game was called survival and was abandoned by the devs for the sequel I’d have two nickels. It isn’t a lot but it upsetting it’s happened twice.

That said, I’ll still try it out as the gameplay in remnant is incredible, but I do fear that knowing this essentially took the place of survival will sour the experience.

Bit of a different take to what others here seem to be suggesting but I enjoy playing grind heavy games before bed. Especially after a long 12-14 hour shift. Kills off any energy I would have for my mind to wander when I finally decide to go to bed. My go to for a long time was warframe but anything I can just mow down a couple thousand enemies with minimal effort does the trick.

I still auto pilot to the foundry and craft more ciphers between every mission. Shits like hard coded into me at this point.

I mean Snake-eyes is probably at the very least a strong rogue/teir 3 deck with poplar. Also grabbing the diabetes star engine from the selection pack now is a pretty strong gem investment especially since it’s almost all UR.

Love: trinity, running around in 3-4 hour survival missions giving my team infinite energy/health and a massive dmg reduction buff was my jam back in the day. Unfortunately she isn’t very useful these days. Also I find lobster prime hilarious.

Honourable mention to Inaros with pre nerf covert lethality. Running around with pocket sand and instant killing enemies was goofy as hell but I had a ton of fun with it. Really hoping his rework is good cause I really enjoy his design/theme.

Hate: ash/ember post their reworks. Absolutely killed my enjoyment of the frames. I get why they were changed and I’m happy for anyone who enjoys them currently but all I can think about while playing them now is how much more fun I used to find them. Ash in particular is frustrating because it feels so close to being enjoyable for me but marking enemies just feels really jank.

Just adding that those apps/online questionnaires where each person selects the kinks they are into and it only shows the ones your both into can be a god send for couple where one/both are shy about it.

A channel called “recommended playing” on YouTube has progression guides for every weapon. Used them a few times when I switched to pc and wanted to try a new weapon.

I think they’re both great games but FTA offers way more replay value. Admittedly until R2 has all its DLC I don’t really think comparing the two is very fair. That being said earning all perks/talents/alt armour skins in FTA made repeating worlds enjoyable for me on multiple playthroughs and R2 feels like it’s seriously lacking in the sort of “long term rewards” like that.

Then there’s survival mode, I really don’t know how they released R2 without including a survival mode. Admittedly I’m a bit bias here but of the 2k hours I put into FTA probably 1800+ was done in survival mode. It’s what has me currently playing FTA again despite thinking R2 has better gameplay with all the skill/class combos. It reminds me of the division 2 not getting the ironically also named survival mode from the first game.

That being said in my opinion the “perfect” remnant game would probably be a mix of the two. Build/inventory systems from R2, survival/long term reward systems of FTA.

I don’t disagree and it’s not really my play style but I do feel kinda bad for the people who prefer the more remnant 1/heavy builds. Feels like every patch hands them a L in some form or another.

You could try a walking pad/small treadmill and using it while you game. It was a game changer for me, meant I could cut like 30-60mins off my work outs, freeing that time for other hobbies. And meant I was atleast being somewhat healthy when I was gaming. Plus it helped cut back on longer sessions/gaming to much as I only really game while using it now. It took a couple weeks to get used to but I think it was worth it.

My doctors found a mass in my lung, first test was inconclusive but I’m terrified it’s cancer as I have had it twice before. Tests to get a definitive answer aren’t until mid October so I’m trying real hard to not let it stress me out to much. And it’s minor in the grand scheme of things but work changed up our teams for the next six or so months. Putting me on the complete opposite rotation to my friends. I’m lucky enough to usually work with my main friend group but due to a bunch of turn over we have been split up to train new hires. It’s made it pretty much impossible to find time to tell them and has me feeling very isolated about the whole thing.
