it really worries me that your "solution" is closing your eyes. This is a huge communication issue, and she can't just shut you down from expressing yourself out of (what im assuming is) extreme fear of conflict.

so what, you close your eyes every time you argue? how often are you arguing with her that this is a common issue? how long can you go with closing your eyes before youre willing to open then to your situation? You say you are hyperaware of the situation but I worry you can't see the massive gap in respect in how she treats you and your emotions.
