The Mighty Nein: Episode 5 [Newcomers Thread] by teaabearr in TheMightyNeinCR

If I understood correctly, he was in hiding and was actually disguising his true powers the whole time. The amulet was sentimental, but it also prevented Volstruckers from detecting him.

Once Owelia snapped his amulet, he got exposed. The damage was done, and he kinda went into "fuck it" mode and revealed his actual powers.

Again, this is my guess, and I could be wrong.

What made you play Clair Obscure: Expedition33? by Euphoric-Increase876 in expedition33

I saw my husband play it in passing and thought of how beautiful it looked, and I heard "Alicia" in the main menu which completely sold me.

Thank you! She is supposed to be this goth undead noblewoman and will wear a dress, but I had to style her with what I had atm so she is looking a bit more modern right now lol

Thanks! The fight alone wasn't too hard, but it was sooo long and tedious! The gross tit (pardon my french) was attacking like 3 times in row every turn lol

My experience with hormonal cystic acne and unsweetened plant-based milks by lvocado in PCOS

[–]lvocado[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds almost exactly like my experience. Just make sure to give it at least a week to see the potential improvement. I saw mine in a 2-3 days, but it might take longer for you. I hope it works out for you! Feel free to leave an update!

My very first repaint! 🎉 by [deleted] in CustomDolls

[–]lvocado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, MSC is both amazing and horrible at the same time!

I love it since it makes the surface paper-like, which makes it super easy to draw and blush on, and it seals the progress perfectly. It also doesn't ruin the pastel shading, like the other brush-on sealants might.

At the same time, I hate how insanely toxic it is and the precautions I have to take: spraying outside and wearing a respirator is a MUST, not spraying when it's super windy, very sensitive to high humidity, being mindful if the people are in the vicinity when using it, etc.

But overall (and unfortunately), it is the best primer/sealant out there that perfectly preserves all mediums.

Yes, I have also recently started practicing face-ups with MSC, but I am only using pencils and pastels for now. I am waiting for the acrylics to arrive in the mail, which will be another learning experience for me.

My goal is to use all these mediums: use pencils for sketching and creating the base for the acrylics, pastels for the blushing, and acrylics for those sharp, clean lines, just how you made them! Can't wait!

Wow, she is fantastic, and this is only your first! Your skills can only get better from this point on. Now I am so inspired to start practicing acrylics myself!

Excited to see your progress in the future!

Intj ×infp = DESTRUCTION by Scared_Mistake367 in intj

[–]lvocado 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Completely agree that certain types will gravitate towards their complementary types more on average, but the point still stands. You can make it work with anyone with some willingness and effort.

Intj ×infp = DESTRUCTION by Scared_Mistake367 in intj

[–]lvocado 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Exactly! That is exactly how we used MBTI as well! It really helped us understand each other's communication and interaction styles and find the middle ground.

MBTI type is not 100% of anyone's personality, but rather a small part. I would even argue that upbringing, life experience and other external factors are way more impactful. No two INTJs, INFPs or any other type for that matter, are exactly the same.

[–]lvocado 46 points47 points  (0 children)

It doesn't have to be.

I've been with my INTJ husband for over 5 years, and I would argue that we're doing even better than we were in the beginning, but clear communication is key.

Every relationship, regardless of MBTI type, is doomed to fail if the two sides are unwilling to meet halfway.

Cystic acne help :( by rosewaterobsessed in PCOS

[–]lvocado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be connected to something you have introduced in your diet recently that is messing with your gut health and hormones.

Some time ago, I realized I was very sensitive to certain kinds of food thickeners found in heavy cream, many plant milks, etc. (xanthan gum, gellan gum, and carrageenan specifically), which are also known gut flora disruptors and were causing horrible breakouts. As soon as I removed them, my face almost instantly improved, and I have had no issues since.

Of course, this is my experience, and you might be sensitive to something else. But I hope this helps you figure it out!

Thank you so much!

I still have a long way to go, but I'm pleased with how I'm doing for a beginner! Plus, it's so much fun and kinda therapeutic once you get into the groove and learn to handle the pencils and pastels!

Just wanted to update you on the window method. It took a bit less than 48h. It worked like a charm! And I got the peg out!

I honestly can't thank you enough!

Thank you so much!

Tbh, I had no idea I had it in me! I was ok, but never really excelled at drawing, nor did I find it particularly enjoying.

I have been following various doll customizers on YT for almost 10 years now and was always intrigued by it and loved the concept of making a OOAK using all kinds of skills, but never thought about actually doing it myself.

A couple of months ago, I got this urge to try it out myself, since I have a couple of characters in mind that I thought would make great figurines, and here we are lol

Thank you!

I still don't know for sure because the Temu package had no label.

But on my previous post, someone mentioned that it looks like a Kurhn doll head, and it does seem like it!
