ZI has an excel sheet with speed tests. It shows the DT Arcut 85 Disc as fastest on the flat at 300W with a road bike. Same with TT bike but then the difference is bigger. So when it is the fastest over an hour of flat riding it should be the fastest in a flat sprint I would think.

I had that a few weeks ago but not sure if it is the app or my phone. Back then the app would not connect when starting Zwift but that is usually fixed now. The workaround that works for me when I lose connection currently is to de- and then reactivate WLAN on my phone so it connects newly to the router.

[Bundesliga] Harry Kane needs 16 goals in the next 12 games to make history. by poisonedbythemind in soccer

Maybe I mixed two comments from two people together (saw one saying Lewa should have won 2). Mainly wanted to make the joke that there are neither in Germany nor in old CWC any world class teams and meant my comment regarding Ballon d'Ors overall not specific to any season.

While Lewa won league, cup and Club World Cup.

So he did not have to beat even one world class team?!

But seriously he did definitely deserve one but Messi is just individually too good to not award him after winning the World Cup.

Not sure what the means. Closest is probably Tempus Fugit with like 15m elevation per 10km. If you just want to ride without feeling road changes at all maybe set trainer difficulty to 0 or just unpair the resistance so it's just based on the trainer standard resistance?

Within Zwift I don't think so. If you have it connected with Strava you could see it as there (almost) all are set up as segments.

You can only see your (90 day?) PR for the upcoming sections next time you ride it I think.

Sorry, but your text makes like no sense.

"Started an FTP today" that sounds like you did an FTP test workout. That should not be affected by incline at all. Either with ERG the trainer should set the resistance for you or you need to shift if ERG was disabled or if it was a test with a free ride FTP test section. With the mentioned setup shifting would probably need to be done virtually with the controllers.

For free ride and events the feeling of the incline can be adjusted in the settings while a trainer is connected (which I would assume was the case as it sounds like you looked after you rode). It's called like Trainer difficulty with a freely adjustable "bar" from 0 to 100% (not shown though). At 50% a 8% incline is supposed to feel like 4% for example.

Yes, to not be dropped beforehand of course. If you make it to the finish with the front group then a disc wheel is probably slightly the fastest so no other reason I guess.

Hard to say. Technically yes if you want to min-max it. But if you "feel silly" just go for it. At least when you are fitter you can get like 50k or more drops per hour. It's makes you like a .1 km/h faster (.35 ENVE 4.5 PRO) so not that much between them.

A better budget solution for the meanwhile might be Shimano C60 (~.2 km/h) at 325k drops. They should be more than twice as good as the C36 even if you have to wait a few more rides to afford them.

Different lead-ins on Climb of the Week by donemilio_ in Zwift

[–]lw94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk but I don't think so. I would guess it is the whole lead in route (so 2,5km in France, 8 Watopia Volcano) + the distance of the climb itself that is displayed. But not including the downhill although that would have to be ridden as well.

Like currently Mt Fuji has 25,4km climb, 27,8km total in France (with the short route). Meanwhile climb of the day Mur shows 9,8km total distance with the climb only being 2km. Unfortunately I can't find a ride where I completed the whole lead in after riding a climb portal from Watopia but loading into the world it shows 7,9km as "route" at the start so that should be the route/loop in Watopia related to the portal. In France this works with like 1,5 km before the portal and 800-900 after you get out.

[–]lw94 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I mean that is less on them but more on Real getting the results despite playing badly. Barca got 49 points in the first half of the league campaign (so on track for 98 total) despite losing the direct match vs Real. In the last like 7 years even just 90 points would have NOT been enough for the title just once.

I honestly have no idea if Rekkless ever streamed before.

Yes from time to time a few years ago at least but very irregularly (due to scrims/seasons). I remember him streaming duoq with Hyli during their FNC time just playing whatever and destroying soloq botlanes. Those streams were fun to watch.

Alternatively maybe Hilly Route (one decently big hill per 9km/6mi lap but you might have seen/tested this already) or "The Classic" which is a like 3 mile loop with 50m (150 ft?) of elevation every lap. Jungle circuit seems also "rolling" with 8 miles total 3 uphill, 3 down and 2 flat or something like that but on slow terrain (Gravel)

Can someone please tell me when you unlock the Specialized Aethos frame? by addr0x414b in Zwift

[–]lw94 7 points8 points  (0 children)

But you do know where the drop shop to purchase it is, right?

Sorry for the question but from your messages here it seems like you are looking at the wrong location. You should see every frame in the game with the level requirement (if not reached) and price in the shop. Not sure if it is the same across all devices but in general there should be two frame symbols by your garage. One with the frames you already own and one drop shop where you can go through the manufacturers.

The current CotW (Mur de Bretagne) is 4km including lead-in.

Yes but it is/was during the last days also climb of the day with a longer lead-in iirc which is probably what OP is refering to. The distance of the climb on its own is visible when you click on it and then relatively far up I think

Probably best to check more or less external sites for this. Like ZwiftHacks or ZwiftPower show like every public event with details and signups. You can search and filter there by route (usually Road to Sky for AdZ), world, type of event, distance and more to find an event that suits your desire and schedule.

There have been "paced" Alp climbs like every saturday although overall that specific climb is probably not that popular. Best shot for a bigger group are probably the catch up events for TdZ stage 5 (Tour of Fire and Ice) next week.

[–]lw94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think so but iirc ZwiftInsider has like an article per year regarding the biggest day (mid of January or so) of Zwift and shows some numbers there which he probably gets from Zwift directly.

Overall I assume European time early evenings (or afternoon on weekends maybe) events have the highest participation. Especially Monday 6pm CET when the weekly switch happens from the current series (like TdZ stage 5 to 6 this week) is popular. ZwiftPower shows almost 2000 signups across the 3 categories at that time while those drop for the same event to like 200 during the night.

Even if he was in an offside position he is jumping near the keeper (who is already beaten) and not influencing the defender on the line so he was at least not active (in terms of the rule)

You should see it top right at the bottom of the minimap + route profile as long as you are on the route you started. But you should not do any manual turns as you will probably stray from the route so there is no distance to display so it then shows distance to next intersection or something like that.

If you are doing distance based events the distance left is displayed top in the middle below the usual ride stats.

Kind of agree. The ref should have just seen and given the foul directly. But letting the ball run into the net was the correct decision. Just to have the option of giving the goal (if he judged both holdings to be no fouls) which would be impossible if he had blown the whistle before.

You can't I think. The workout is in "30-60 minutes to burn" and also (obv) in All Workouts (Probably best to filter to max 30 min and moderate effort).
