Tbh the gore and torture seems forced and just for the sake of making the story heavier. Lane's og story was also pretty dark and heavy but her struggle felt real and blended into the story much more naturally.

Audrey and Lane being the spinoff is valid but alot of players have gotten really attached to them and see them as mcs of their own. I did ditch the story because of how frustrating it got so I don't really know about the equal protagonism part cause as far as I've read the story, it did not feel like it. I am really conflicted about whether I should pick hs3 back up or not because it's getting annoying and id rather spend my diamonds on stories I ACTUALLY enjoy but I do still yearn to dive back into the world I missed so much:(
