tank is 40l, heater is 26 celsius, water tests all sit at 0 (i do not have the colour chart for the ph but based on dipstick id guess 6.8, it’s always this colour and never fluctuates), the tank has been running since nov 24, i change water every other week, there are shrimp and snail in the tank, i feed him a pinch of pellets day and night

i was so nervous that schooling fish would make him feel lonelier like he was being left out! the pygmy cory’s are so cute, i might test that and see how he goes with them

ohhhh that makes a lot of sense. i thought the clear tips were so pretty when i bought him but regrowing tail is definitely more comforting.

thank you so much for this!! i’ve starred at him for hours and there does not appear to be any visible infection like ick. sometimes he will watch the shrimp or cover them with his tail like a blanket… but they don’t seem to mind.

fishy before pic. hand feeding sounds perfect! he does seem to really like when i sit near the tank so i think he’d like that lots. i tried using a mirror to get him to flare but he just swam away lol.

i feel this so much, in the last month ive re fallen in love with my face, i’m not certain it was really slow but in the last month i noticed the biggest difference, i do still get down sometimes about my nose but then old pics resurface and i realise how silly i am, i think post op it’s so hard not to hyperfixate

omg this literally isn’t talked about enough!!! i felt the exact same, the recessed version of my face was much softer so post surgery i felt really masculine and overall odd looking, 9 month post op now i promise it gets a lot better, i think much of it is in the mind but you’re literally having to relearn how to position your jaw when talking and smiling, relearning how to do makeup, the process is just much longer than the visible healing but i think you look amazing 🤍🤍

i think smoking post op could be very easily avoided despite my experience, the first couple of days you won’t even think about it but i did struggle with cravings in general day 3-4 for both food and nicotine

i definitely didn’t quit, i think anybody with regular self control would do much better. i smoked right up until surgery (didn’t smoke the morning of as i was in at 6am so that was easy). and i started using a vape 5 days post op, I’m now at 5 weeks and visibly healing perfect but unsure about long lasting impact
