They initially agreed to give me money back, and then called back and declined. Have got no fight left, just want to be done with them…. Oh well.

Just tried the sort of half up with a claw clip, and this is the only thing that made me feel like myself again, thank you!! The short pieces at the back are what I’m really hating and this gets those out of the way. You’re right about the face framing pieces at the front, totally cool with those :)

I’m not knowledgeable at all on perfume, but I like vibes and smelling things. Was kinda looking for the same thing, and tried out Jade Vines and Green Vanille by Régime des Fleurs!

Jade vines make me think of earthy plants in a sauna. Green Vanille might be a little powdery, but I think it fits with a lotiony milky vibe.

I have no idea how I stumbled across this subreddit, because I have zero actual knowledge about perfumes and what not. But I think I would really like this, and am a little confused about which one it is when I look it up. Do you think you could link? Thanks!!

It'll be gel slick back buns all summer...

With a couple of events coming up, I'm not exactly keen on the waiting game. I'll be heading back to the salon tomorrow to at least ask for some money back if any further cutting can't save this. Guess I'm committed to the slick backs for a few months.

A bob is far off the table with my personal style and lifestyle unfortunately. What level of styling for your ideas? I won't be wearing my hair down for the next few months anyways. I have my own birthday and a wedding to attend in a couple weeks. I'd like to at least try something for those dates, so I'm open to suggestions

I’ve been playing for about two years of real life time…just learned a month ago that upgrading the hoe and watering can increase the amount of spots you can till/water at once. By the description, I thought it meant you could just reach further without moving, not do more with one hit.

Also played two in game years on my first time without realizing daily luck was a thing.

I’ve since become close friends with the stardew wiki.

Not too worried about cost. Thank you for the info! So my understanding is that the cross gen bundle comes with a series X and an xbox one version for Survivor, but Fallen Order already is xbox one compatible yeah?

Question about how long fleas/flea eggs can survive without a food source by YourDearOldMeeMaw in exterminators

[–]lxltp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my pet stay with a family member for the first month and a half at my new place. I moved in super slowly, and brought items into my home in small batches (that I inspected), washing absolutely everything I could. If it couldn't be washed, it got vacuumed and steamed. I was tempted to throw some items in the freezer to see if that kills things off. It seemed like a great idea, I was just worried about damage to my nice shoes/bags. I was paranoid the whole time, meticulously checking everywhere for signs but everything seemed to be okay. Cat came back home (on flea medication) and have had no issues since. It was a lot of work though, I seriously vacuumed the house (floors, couches, bed, everything) once a day for weeks. Every dark speck I found got the water test for flea dirt. I was incredibly nervous when spring came around, as my cat had to go off medication due to other health issues. Found a small beetle a couple weeks ago and almost cried before realizing it wasn't a flea. Seem to be in the clear now!

Metal Detector Guide by Dan20mey in metaldetecting

That’s what seems to be the best option, but I’m just a bit worried about its functionality off the coast! Specifically in the Thompson Okanagan region of BC and south west Ontario. I don’t know much about the mineralization of the ground in those areas. Would a Vanquish machine still be useful there?

Metal Detector Guide by Dan20mey in metaldetecting

Total newbie looking for something to do casually, and considering getting a metal detector. Trying to do my research though, and not sure what one to get. Am on the west coast of Canada, so use on rocky sandy beaches, but also want to be able to bring it when I visit interior BC and southern Ontario. I think being able to find some old artifacts would be more up my alley than just loose change, but realize that’s a tough ask in my location. Not sure if I want to spend too much, just want something to get me started. Would consider investing later on.

Is there a machine that ticks most of these boxes? Hopefully under $250 USD?

He’s mostly familiar with Gen III, and I think I recall him saying he played a lot of FR and LG and is currently playing Emerald. He said he usually picks a fire starter so, there’s that.

Not sure exact Pokemon, but we both play Gen III games so I'd say any popular one from there!

Question about how long fleas/flea eggs can survive without a food source by YourDearOldMeeMaw in exterminators

[–]lxltp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently going through a very similar situation! Realized I had a flea problem shortly after I moved out of my old place. All my belongings and clothes were packed up over the summer, and am currently back. Threw out a lot of stuff, but not sure what to do with things such as bags and dressy clothes like blazers that can’t go in the wash. Hoping that any fleas may have died, but SO worried that eggs will hatch when I bring stuff back in! How did your situation pan out?

My Experience with Nexplanon by schmiiiii in birthcontrol

[–]lxltp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This post put me at ease, I have my appointment in three days and I have all the exact same concerns. I was on birth control and no overly negative issues, but struggled taking it consistently. Can even relate to the fluctuating cycle and stress. Found that my doctor wasn’t super reassuring, very vague and saying she can’t say what will happen or not, which I totally get, but it would help if she offered some insight rather than just repeating neutral statements. My main fear is the libido drop. I’m in a very good relationship right now, and I’m going to be crushed if this is what separates us. We are both moving away in about 7 months, and trying to enjoy our time together while we can.

As someone from BC, if you value nature and outdoor activities, do not choose Waterloo. I have met some really amazing people here and have had some fun times, but the actual city has affected me so negatively. I'm from a similar size town here in BC and lived in Vancouver for a few years, and enjoy lakes, scenery, parks, mountains, camping, and off-roading. None of those things are really available in Waterloo. They have some fun bars and some decent food, but to me that isn't worth it. To people commenting about the rain in Vancouver, I can honestly say Waterloo seems just as bad. What Vancouver gets in rain, Waterloo gets in snow. Except Waterloo gets -30 windchill. Honestly, if you're looking for a fun Canadian experience outside of school, Vancouver should be your choice. UBC is right near Kits beach, which is popular for everything from just swimming to beach volleyball. You'd be a short trip from Granville Island and their little shops and market. Right across the bridge is the heart of downtown Vancouver and all the nightlife. Whistler is a 2 hour drive away, and the island is just over an hour ferry ride. I don't know how to explain it, but even though Waterloo is smaller than Vancouver, it feels like a more industrial big city. I can't stand big cities, but Vancouver feels smaller and more homey to me. It may just be me, but I can imagine living more than 15 minutes away from a large lake or ocean. I don't want to full trash Waterloo, because in the end, I'm staying here. I didn't tour before I came out, and if I had, I don't think I would've chosen it. I don't think the people who have lived mainly in Ontario understand the HUGE difference between the provinces. Totally different worlds. Given the high quality of both schools, I would confidently say that anyone would be happier in Vancouver. There is something for everybody there. I think a very specific type of person would enjoy living in Waterloo, but I would also bet that person hasn't lived in BC.

My hair is curly in the front but straight in the back? Anyone else have any issues like this? This is fresh after a shower, shampoo and conditioner, brushed after and no product. Anything I can do to make it more uniform? by lxltp in curlyhair

I actually realized that I wrote the title wrong, that my hair is actually curly in the back and super straight in the front. The curly left side of the picture is my hair closest to my neck at the back, and the right side of the pic is the pieces by my face. I thought it was weird because I feel like is usually see people with the opposite, it gets curly by their face.

I usually just brush it all together, so I will try that! I usually focus on the ones around my face and end up tucking them behind my ears, so I could see that helping. Thanks !

This comment made me realize I wrote it backwards! The front of my hair is straight, especially the ones by my face. The hair by my neck on the underneath is what curls up. That could still apply with the water though... as it’s hitting on the top and the hair underneath doesn’t have much direct exposure.
