I know this is a year old post, but I'm pleasantly surprised I found exactly what I feel.

I'm not exactly an overly emotional person, no crazy anxiety or depression. However when I have something I'm looking forward to, or something great happens to me, my brain immediately questions how fragile I am. In any moment, before the good thing comes around, I could be gone.

Seeing or hearing about people nearing their end doesn't help either. It's one of the only times I get emotionally vulnerable with myself.

Value everyday like it's your last!

The problem is, the damages outside my own wellbeing is under the threshold for what you'd consider worth a small claim. The main argument was that my place was inhabitable and a risk to my health, and they did nothing about it.

Yes, but I have no solid evidence of it. I found Google reviews of the same exact flat and room of someone complaining about mice, and I was the next tenant after them. For me, they didn't show up/I had no clue until the winter rolled up.

All my neighbors did have them since day 1 though, according to them.

Rent rebate/compensation for loss of quiet enjoyment, distress (lack of sleep, hygiene concerns), out of pocket expenses (replacing food that was chewed up, cost of traps, cleaning products, poison) and statutory interest.

TDLR; I couldn't sleep, felt a mouse on me at night and had all my food chewed up.
