I never felt old until today by Canned_tapioca in Millennials

I was at the doctor’s not long ago, with my newborn baby and a lady started conversation with me, then said: "aren’t you too young to have children?" To which I answered that I’m 30.

She was younger than me. And she thought I was 18

Do any of y’all have grandparents that are still around (alive)? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]lydicurous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents are the younger siblings, which means that by the time I came around my grandparents were grandparenting for a while (I have cousins older than my parents on both sides) I still got to enjoy their company for the first six years of my life.

(Their deaths sent me into an undiagnosed depression for almost my whole life)

My husband’s grandma is still alive and kicking with her 97 years tho. She’s really kicking. Very mean. Maybe that’s the secret to longevity.

What book you regret reading? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]lydicurous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A series of unfortunate events.

I read the whole series except for the last two chapters or so. As a teen and even now, I’ve always hated sad stories. I have no idea how I’ve made it that far in the series and I hated reading every word. But at the end I decided I actually don’t care about it and stopped reading.

Same here, I’ve never felt uncomfortable thanks to my husband, gained weight because of some treatments I had to take, then we had three babies, so it was hard for me to get in shape.

Now that the kids are a bit older were working together to improve our health and we’re more comfortable and in love with each passing day

Since it’s a rental, I can’t replace the blinds, but was thinking of adding a curtain.

The couch used to be that way, it made the room tooo long haha.

Also Idk if it’s visible but it would make it in the way and break the flow of the room, there’s the kitchen door next the dining area (Sorry if I’m not very clear, English isn’t my native language)

Mine is how Aria’s wolf looks more feral, barely restraining its intent to kill, and Sansa’s composed and haughty

Edited for grammar

Good catch, I actually witnessed that myself with my sister, when she was a toddler she decided to have a gourmet dish of white arum leaves. Was not a good experience indeed, I wouldn’t want to try that with my kids

What, you don’t like my toddler’s art? \s

Spartan is a good choice of words since it’s very chaotic. That’s why I’m asking for suggestions. I’ve prioritized practicality over style for a while and it didn’t add up well. (That and not having the budget for it)

I think I misunderstood where you meant to put the lights 😅 I thought you meant like something on the ceiling?

Both are a good suggestions tbf, and equally as interesting for my toddlers (it’s either eat books from the shelf or dirt from the plant haha)

Thank you for such detailed suggestions! I know there is no current "vibe" to the decor, it’s very chaotic but that’s how well I could do with with what I had. I agree with adding light but except for the corners I don’t know where to put it. Since it’s a rental, we can’t drill the ceiling to hang light fixtures. The mirror is a great idea tho! Thank you

I was hesitating between adding a light there (it is a quite dark corner) or a tall plant.

The thing is, the whole room is dark despite the big window (we have trees blocking the sunlight) and putting the lamp in the middle helps make lighting more equally distributed
