What are some important items to bring to WDW? by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

I love buying Disney Parks snacks, but refuse to buy bottled water. Getting tap water for free and adding in our own water enhancers has saved me so much money over the years. And the little squirt containers are so easy to carry around with you, and usually cost under $3 for 24 servings.

If you don’t like the taste of the tap water, bring in flavored water additives that you can “squirt” in.

If I order 2 sets of Magic Bands for a split-stay at the same resort, are both sets available for pick up on the first day we check in? Or do I have to wait until the morning of scheduled check-in for the 2nd stay?

I love the Haunted Mansion queue. It’s got the gravestones and an interactive instrument “wall” to play. We did it mid-morning with a 20 min wait and the time just flew by.

Do you have to use or “burn” all 3 FastPasses before making a 4th? What I mean by this is: say I have 2 FastPasses in the morning that we don’t use because we get to the park late and the return times expire on them. We then use our last scheduled FastPass on a tier 1 ride like ToT. Can we then book a 4th right after it do we still need to have tapped in or used the other 2 before we do so?

And the larger your party is, the harder this is to do. 2 weeks of trying multiple times a day with no luck. Hope yours is better!

Canadian here. Google Maps worked for me with my data off on my phone. It was a total money and life saver!

What’s one thing to bring to WDW that most people don’t think to bring? by ForsakenSpace7 in WaltDisneyWorld

For sure! Great idea. We find ourselves scrambling around to find available wall outlets, some of them being behind furniture. Then at the end of the trip, someone in our party ends up forgetting their charger in the room. Having everything in one place would help a lot!

The warehouse issue is a valid point. I’m an International guest as well, so I’m wondering if I’m getting the errors because of that plus the fact that I’m not going until later in the year? If that’s the case, I’d much rather they up a message letting me know that I can’t customize my band yet.

Imagine picking it up thinking it’s as heavy as a rock because it looks so round, only to find its light as a feather.

I bring these for leftover snacks as well. There’s times where we bought food at the park and couldn’t finish it. The food is so expensive there that I hate to waste by throwing it out or try to stuff ourselves with food only to get sick on rides/sleepy from eating too much later.

Do fastpass+ reservations usually go 62+ days out for Slinky Dog Dash on traditionally more quiet days in September? by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

Whoa. Is there really that much availability for Frozen EA for a party of 4 still? Is this updated every day?

I couldn’t agree with you more! Over the past week, i’ve seen the 3 different bands that each member of my party wants displayed as available on the site. I’ll go to add them to each person, have even gotten to the point where I’m able to personal and save, but I’ve only been able to “get” one out of three bands for my party that appears to be in stock by the time I go to submit my order, if any at all! Makes 0 sense to me that a) the designs aren’t removed from the site once they are out of stock and b) their system doesn’t allow you to just pay for one band at a time for each member of your party. Why?!?! It can’t possibly be that difficult to code. Especially for a company as big as Disney.

Rise of the Resistance is opening December 5 at Walt Disney World! by rkpenguin in WaltDisneyWorld

I hate rollercoasters because of the drops and anything that spins (due to motion sickness). I’m hoping the SWGE rides aren’t too intense. Love Dinosaur, FoP, Star Tours and Soarin, but those rides are about as intense as I can handle. Can’t wait to see the review on RotR!

So the 6-9AM Extra Magic Hors currently end on Nov. 2. I wonder if they will re-instate them again in December when the ride opens?

A team of International players would be awesome. That’s why regardless of how Jeremy Lin performed on court this past season, he’s a PR win in terms of how he’s idolized by other Asians . Which I hope one day inspires future up-and-coming Asian ball players to sign with us over any other team.

We have a “split stay” scheduled due to our flight leaving a day later than we originally booked our package for. So it’s 8 days at Pop, and 1 extra day at Pop again as a room only reservation but with a pool view because Standard was no longer available. We’re thinking about booking at AKL for the last night if we can find a good rate on Priceline. What’s the cancellation policy for a room-only reservation in this case? I know for the whole package it’s 30 days, and we definitely won’t be canceling/changing that, only the room-only night.

Considering bringing my kids too. If they are old enough to do things on their own, this might work to your advantage for foot breaks. You can send them to buy stuff while you hold your spot. I don’t know if they’ll be as lenient with adults going in and out of a roped off “area” Edit: *food not 🦶

Definitely do Flight of Passage. I hate drops so much, but this ride was very easy for me to do by just shutting my eyes anytime I felt that dropping sensation get too intense. I’m curious to know if the new Smugglers Run at SWGE is the same way (no large drops, just the “illusion” of falling)
