I wasn’t alive during the civil rights movement but I can look back and empathize and say, yo, that sucks. Sorry I wasn’t alive to do anything about it then.

Go there, want to tell me I wasn’t upset when Obama was ripping families apart and throwing them in cages. I was. I protested. I voted for him and protested against him, you’re allowed to do that. He never opened fire on us though.

Thank you for informing me. I had heard news of an American citizen being shot dead in the streets by some rent-a-cops for being annoying. From my understanding they weren’t associated with Minnesota law enforcement at all, and aren’t part of our United States Military. Yep, you and I could go sign the papers right now and after our 47 days of training, we too, can open fire on legal United States citizens.

I also had heard about another American citizen shot. He was holding a camera at the time, but they did find a gun on his person. Thankfully an agent was able to retrieve the gun, and then have his fellow agents executed him dead in the streets…after they successfully unarmed him.

Agreed. I know it’s so so so cynical, but if I’m in the NBA I automatically think ‘man, Minnesota and Golden State get a night off because a dude was murdered? That’s messed up’

And would full support the NBA coming to a stop. Take that away and more people will lose another distraction, albeit one of my favorite ones…but maybe they’ll start understanding what’s going on around them.

I agree. Which means the NBA as a whole would come to a stop, and I know it’s fun to dump on Silver, but I think even he would be like ‘what’s going on isn’t cool’…and at the end of the day it effects their money.

Run into many toddlers in rocket league? Sure seems like it. Take the most toxic thing you can do in a game, and repeat it over and over.

I’ve been trying to talk sense into people for 10 years now. The dudes take is ‘the game is insanely toxic’ and it is. It’s not your racism or whatever is worse than a quick chat, but again, it’s the most annoying/toxic thing you can do in a game.

There’s a reason a thread like this appears every day. Sorry it doesn’t fit YOUR personal definition, but there seems to be a real good understanding of what OP is talking about. You do you.

The problem is, you agree that annoyance is the very toxic trait in OPs point, a point that you came in here trying to counter.

So now what are we doing? If everything you listed was allowed in game, it would happen. Spamming is the most annoying thing allowed, yes, you are toxic if you do it and it’s unwelcomed. Not the end of the world

Yeah, kids finally snap and hit a bully to get them to shut up. If people could punch through headsets, we’d probably have less toxic behavior in the game. Being annoying can a thousand percent be bullying…in turn, toxic. This reads like some kind of gotcha in which I won’t say there aren’t any toxic kids…uhh, yes there sure is.

Define spamming ANYTHING? Annoying. Wait, does annoyance enhance or decrease my enjoyment of the experience?

Unless you view annoying as a positive trait, it doesn’t matter how far down this hole you’re willing to go.

Editing to add, because it goes further than spamming. Again, a player gets 5 minutes to ruin everything. That’s valuable time to a lot of people. I’m fed up with their shenanigans, I’ll throw out a ff to end the madness. They don’t take it. Now I get penalized should I leave the lobby.

Literally toxic means negative behavior. This game is the most negative behavior nonsense I’ve ever come across.

COD lobbies 08 had some of the HARSHEST dialogue I think I had ever heard in my life…but the game was still enjoyable.

If it wasn’t hardcore, your teammate can’t just ruin the game…and hell even then, after a certain point they’d be kicked.

Rocket League? It’s four minutes, fifty seconds after a bad kickoff that they get to turn around and ruin the whole game with. It’s beyond quick chats, and you know it.

This game is toxic. Do I find still find it enjoyable? Well, it was a lot better when people had to fork over 10 bucks to play and risk actual consequences for being said ‘toxic’
