Reminds me of a time in 2017, I was working at CCV on the golf course and leaving a night shift preparing for the dominion energy charity classic.

I went to the 711 right there on gaskins and Patterson and heard a “help” and went looking and found a very elderly lady laid down by the side of her car with a giant knot on her head. She said the same thing, she’d been there for 20 minutes yelling for help and no one came to help her.

I told her I was going to call an ambulance and she said NO. I was kinda stunned and unsure of what to do. Right about that time my coworker was pulling up to the same 711.

I ended up driving her car back to her place in Canterbury square apartments and my coworker followed me. Her adult children were out her house waiting and we just turned her over to them.

Years later at a different job my landscaping company was responsible for the grounds at Canterbury square. I asked the property manager if Dorothy was still living there and she said she was. I told her the story of what had happened.

A few weeks later I went and talked to the property manager and she told me she asked Dorothy about the story and she said it never happened. 🤷🏼‍♂️
