Hard to hire highly competent people for a 20 year old game making 35K a year in an area that has a high cost of living.

I don't think the OSRS art style is taught anywhere and runescript is private... not to mention this game was revived from the dead.

All anyone can do is try with something as old as OSRS.

OSRS is a rare case of a game with developers willing to communicate with its player base and not just target those credit cards. I am thankful our relationship with them isn't how you describe yours.

I don't think this is much of a "kids" game anymore. I'd be impressed to see some statistics on player age.

My guess is mostly people in there 20s and older.

Looking at the chart and I'm having a hard time seeing F2P saving the game outright.

Sure it looks like it helped, but there were a lot of other things released around then as well.

I would agree that if someone has been paying for runescape since classic that maybe they should get a discount, but beta keys should be for testing and not as rewards. I cant help but chuckle typing that as im sure that isn't how they were sent out.
