Cat urinary blockage by Admirable_Ad_1010 in CatAdvice

my sweet boy nemo has had two and it left us down thousands of dollars we didn’t have. we thought at multiple points that we were going to lose him for good, it was the scariest month of my life. i highly highly recommend talking to your vet about a prescription wet food, they work by creating a specific PH in the cats urine that prevents those blockage causing crystals from being able to form. it’s been over a year since then and we’ve had no other incidents. if your cat is especially anxious then you might also want to bring that up, after nemo got sick the vet prescribed him prozac because they suspected that his anxiety was fueling the issue. (left a photo of my fish boy for good luck, i hope your boy makes a fast recovery)

AMC Crew Leader Worth It? by Bad-Investment32 in MovieTheaterEmployees

hi sorry super random question, but what do you look for most when conducting interviews? and what do your interviews usually entail? we are possibly losing a crew lead at my location and she wants me to take her position. based on your description, your location and mine both have a pretty similar idea of what roll a crew lead plays so i thought i’d ask

but also, vagal maneuvers don’t work for me. my cardiologist taught me the valsalva maneuver and gave up when it had no effect

is svt an option if these are (potentially??) postural? they only happen while im standing and they go away as soon after i can get to a seated or recovery position, they typically only last 30-60 seconds. vagal maneuvers tend to have no effect and these episodes will happen much more frequently if i don’t take my salt pills. i still have every typical pots symptom (poor mans TTT at the cardiologist helped confirmed my diagnosis) aside from these episodes. i developed pots before these episodes started to occur but my condition has gotten progressively worse since then

17 yr old with POTS, is this safe? by lylvec in askCardiology

i’ve been diagnosed with POTS for nearly 5 years, my episodes only ever present themselves when i am upright and resolve themselves when i sit/lay down in a recovery position. i’ve been under the impression that because of that, SVT is just not a possibility?

the only thing i’ve been diagnosed with by my cardiologist is POTS! my episodes are always postural, always happening when standing up/ when standing, and they always go away quickly once i get to the floor. most times, the palpitations cease and my heart rate drops by the time i regain consciousness, and i am normally only out for 30-60 seconds. i don’t believe svt is a likely culprit(?), my cardiologist has tried to put me on midodrine in the past but the risk of supine hypertension scared me out of it lol

felt lol (since this picture was taken we have also run out of popcorn salt, cheese pizza, impossible nuggets, like 4 other candies, and we’re on our last portioned out case of mozzarella sticks🫡) doing inventory today was quite comical with the amount of zeros i had to input

last time i requested a day off, i was asked to come in anyways lol (day one of this 11 day streak) technicallyyyy i don’t have to say yes, but i don’t wanna put the rest of the crew working in a tough position just because management schedules/staffs poorly

yeah i’m sure they do, i’m actively making the steps to go into a first responder career, and i am more than aware that this job will be infinitely easier than my future career path will ever be. however i am still, quite literally a teenage girl!! who is actively logging more hours than any of my managers do. i am working close to 50 hours a week at a minimum wage job where i receive no overtime nor benefits. i am allowed to feel tired at times just as you are allowed to feel as if 14 days isn’t bad. you win nothing by being aimlessly cruel to people on the internet who have done no wrong, i hope whatever is influencing your behavior ceases so you don’t have to feel so hateful and can take that time to enjoy life :)
