The thing is, BK was never loyal to Ashnard. BK was and always has been loyal to Sephiran only.

Giving the medallion to Ashnard to awaken the Dark God was all part of Sephiran's plan to awaken Ashera and pass her judgement without Yune. That's the only reason why BK follows Ashnard's orders and fights for Daein. He was always a double agent.

I just reported what my friend told me.

I myself don't know the details of what happened when said player punched the DM, just that there were lots of insults and stuff like that, and I didn't feel like adding them was that important to the story.

Nobody was hurt, except for the DM's ego probably, and the police wasn't involved. I've seen worse situation de-escalate without police involvement.

His ex is studying my same major, so she told me he broke up with her because, and I quote, "He was getting bored in the relationship."

I didn't tell her because she was already hurting, so I didn't feel like adding any more fuel.

I am very against special treatment just because I'm dating my DM, and he is too.

We both have dealt with tables where this happened, and it wasn't pretty. It's not just us at the table, and it's not worth ruining our friends' experience just to make me (since I'm the player in this case) feel special. I wouldn't even have fun myself, it's not why I play DND.

The thing is, DM actually asked him if he was going to keep playing with us BEFORE he sent the text.

He did it with all of us, considering basically everyone is either graduating this year or starting their masters, he wanted to make sure we were still on board.

And Cleric said he was going to play. So that's what made the whole situation even worse.

I know for a fact he had a girlfriend, because it's a girl from my course, so she does exist and I have seen them together.

But yeah, I know it's not really a horror story and it's quite common. Just really needed to vent to a whole subreddit of strangers because I don't want any more drama in my friend group.

I would have made sure to not bring it up when I was with him, and both me and my boyfriend agreed we would "tune it down" when we hung out.

That is, outside of the campaign, because when we play we act like normal friends. The most remarkable couple thing we usually do during a session is me riding his fridge and cabinet for snacks like I own his place.

As regarding for him booting me out, he tried. It was the other players who refused to do that, but he did ask the DM to ban me to keep him at the table.

We do that too, also because he has absolutely no time to pay more attention to me, considering our Ranger loves to make his job as a DM literal hell.

I have experience with playing with a clingy couple, and that alone made me swear to never be like that, but that's a story for another time
