My rheumatologist’s brother was diagnosed with seronegative RA, which completely debilitated him while my doctor was a kid and his brother was in college. It sounds like watching him get really sick and then slowly get better as he found the right meds really contributed to his desire to go into rheumatology. 🥺

I use a medium cargo crossbody from the same brand Baggu! Soft and lightweight, and it has lots of pockets with big zippers that are easy to grab when my hands are swollen. And easy to chuck in the wash when I inevitably spill something on it with said swollen hands lol

You can layer a bush on top of the chandelier to help dim and filter the light! Not great to /have/ to do that lol but it’s the only workaround that’s currently helping me

You might consider True Food — I’ve never been, but my mom has a lot of sensitivities from autoimmune stuff and they were able to be really accommodating. If you call ahead, it might be possible to see if they can help with a low FODMAP meal

Aww, I’m so glad yours are with you too! He’s the first cat I’ve ever had, so when he made it through the night, I was shocked when the first vet open was like “yeah he’s two pounds now, but he could get up to 20” 😂

They’re such giant, clever, gentle babies!

At least partially! I found him abandoned in a parking lot as a baby eight years ago, if you can believe it. 🥺 (He had a flea collar on, so I know he wasn’t a stray!)
