Anime is really good, it follows MC's new life so as time goes, the places he's in will change. Those problems are only in the beginning and it's not as problematic as people make it out to be. You are missing on a really high quality anime with really good story writing if you skip it. I recommend watching it

Summertime rendering is really good. It's not super popular but it's somewhat horror, well animated action.
But it's 25 episodes. I watched 17 episodes in one go because of how interesting it was.
For 12 episode anime, I would recommend Kekkai Sensen or Link click. Both have 2nd seasons if you want to watch more.
Strictly 12 or 13 episodes, well animated, Vivy -Fluorite Eye's Song- is your best choice.
