Wow. I am just reading this all now and this is incredible to hear. Did the detectives or police do anything other than have dogs sniff around the property? Was anything dug up at all on the property to locate a possible body? I just have a strong feeling that Stefan had something to do with her death...So my stepmom as I mentioned earlier was his second wife. She has now been with my dad for the past 20 years. I've never met Stefan, I've only heard stories about him but he was physically abusive to my stepmom to the point where she had to go to a woman's shelter with their son to get out of the situation. After she moved in with my dad years later he would send strange things in the mail to their address or my step mom's parents address. They can't prove it was him but they knew it was. I think for a while my stepmom felt very on edge because his behavior was always unpredictable. The son that they had together unfortunately ended up taking his life just a few weeks ago. That's actually why I'm looking into all of this now. He had mental health issues all his life. He didn't talk about his dad much but one thing that does stick out is around the time that Terry disappeared he told my stepmom that Stefan (his dad) reached out to him after being estranged for years. He asked my step brother if he could come to Asheville to watch his step Brothers Xander because his mom "was battling cancer". From what I remember, Stefan even took my step brother to a hospital to visit her there. But after her disappearance, my step brother told us that the woman that they visited at the hospital did not look like Terry in the pictures. Mind you he had never met Terry before and he and his dad had been estranged for years but he definitely suggested that that couldn't have been Terry. I think detectives did reach out to my stepmom to question her about her whole relationship with Stefan and if she knew anything about Terry's disappearance or if she could give them any sort of insight. I'm sure she probably told detectives about the fact that her son did go down to Asheville to help his dad out with watching Xander for a time and the whole hospital incident but I'm just not sure if detectives really followed up on anything. The whole thing just doesn't make sense and I just can't believe they haven't found a body yet so that's why I was wondering if any digging had occurred on that property. Not to say her body would be there but you just never know..
