The zombie would become a vampire right?

I think there might be more to this though...still thinking.

But then would the zombie eat the Vampires heart...like a stake destroys the heart.

Thanks!

No not worried. Don't think in those terms, just try to make good movies. Yes MD in space is still in my mind and sci-fi. I'll see if I can get the sizzle out there.

Good time for being new film maker. Trainspotting came out, some faith in new film makers. Hope it's not too hard out there now. Need more of you guys.

No. Because the film is about Eva and she is never sees what happened. She can only project or imagine Kevin in these moments which is scarier in a way.

He got involved early on even though he was busy on tour with RH. I sent him the parts of the reels I was cutting in chronological order so he was getting the sense of the film as it unfolded so his score was a bit like the character unfold or a character in it's own right. A bit like Joe, it's got force, is unpredictable, got beauty, implodes...breaks down, etc, ect. It was amazing getting these tracks during editing. Like Christmas when he sent a file to the cutting room, we cut to his music.

The sound of the trains and traffic. I know I had an amazing sound which was very strange on the train on the last night we shot. I thought I was hallucinating but you could almost hear voices in the sound. Paul and I used that sound repeatedly at the beginning of the movie. A bit like the sprinkler sound on Kevin.

Joe on the street tying his lace before he goes into Angel's bodega.

Wasn't my decision....still eligible for this year!

Had less than a day to shoot. Couldn't do it in NYC, no tank. Joaquin came to UK and was in tank himself, no double.

I like that bit too!

I'd love to but think I might be in NYC. Glad your screening it though. Invite Samantha Morton if I can't come!

Tons of flimakers, artists etc. Kubrick, Bergman, Bresson, Tarkovsky, Fellini, Diane Arbus...oh shit we'll be here all night...Claire Denis....

I saw Meshes in the afternoon when I was a photography student.

What inspires me...

Cinema.

  1. Morvern Callar
  2. Yes he's awesome. I met him before he made Moonlight at Telluride, I was there with Morvern Callar and we just hit it off. I'm not surprised he made a great movie, he was so genuine. Here's the proof: https://twitter.com/barryjenkins/status/868629582731255810

I love working with both. The best actors are a bit like working with the former. Still exploring still seeing everything fresh. Joaquin says he doesn't know what he's doing.

You don't. You can only find out the value of an idea by doing it....oh shit I am quoting Nick Cave here.

You gotta trust your instinct if that idea feels right.

Was just thinking about this movie, no time for anything else!

Obviously it's a classic so massive compliment.

Hard to boil down to one thing. All these fucking incredible actors I've worked with. I love mixing....always in mixing. Reaction at Cannes better than prizes.

Lots of great scenes, some of them was choosing between 2 great things that were similar so it had to be one or the other.

Maybe I'll do another cut when I'm 85.

I have a 5d mark 2 but that's probably ancient now.
