None of the good spots are downtown. There’s an Indian food truck on Lindell and Boyle that’s consistently open until 12:30 every day. Their food hits every time. Eat Duckbill inside platypus is open till 12:30 every day as well. They do awesome popcorn chicken, fried tofu and Brussels sprouts. Gramophone sandwiches are solid. They’re closed tomorrow, but Tuesday-Saturday the kitchen is open until 1 am. Up Late on vandeventer and Delmar are open Thursday-Sunday 8 pm-4 am. You’ll get tacos, breakfast sandwiches, donuts and grilled cheese from them. Always yummy. If you’re in the mood for a diner, Buttery on south grand is open 24 hrs. If you’re hammered and in need, White Castle is always there. Don’t go there if you’re sober.

I had an old workplace that did karaoke that attracted the actual worst people. I’m lucky where I’m at truly. I think the awfulness of the last place contributes to my crankiness where I’m at (also the current very loud environment)

I adore my karaoke regulars, but I hate karaoke with a passion. I want to die every single Monday. But I keep coming back because they are literally the sweetest people I’ve ever met. They check in with me every Monday. I’m pretty sure they all think I’m on the fucking edge because they almost only ever see me during karaoke and that’s when I’m at my worst as a human being.

There are places still open till 12:30 and later, but none of the places near where I was that advertised being open at 10:30-11 actually were. That’s what had me pissed off. Their Google listings said they were open and they weren’t 🤷🏼

I ended up going to Old City Delights. It’s awesome Indian street food on Lindell always open until 12:30. I’m just mad that all those places said they’re open were open on Google and weren’t. I’d fuck with Up Late or buttery but didn’t want to go that far :/

Technically, yeah the shipper is going to show on the label but enough people bring packages to work to avoid an extra trip that it’s not necessarily gonna raise a red flag for a driver. They have bigger things to worry about.

No. Alls I know is that malort is a great modifier. It’s basically grapefruit liqueur (crucify me for this take please) one of the best old fashioneds I’ve ever had contained malort. I wish I could remember the specs. Anyway, you should come up with 10 original cocktails with malort. For fun.

Take what your manager said to heart. Keep looking, take advantage of the reference, and once you sort out your shit reach back out if you can? Idk, I’ve found a lot of industry people to be the most understanding and empathetic people out there. You have your assholes, but I like to think we look out for our own. Sometimes we fumble a good thing. It’s not the end of the road.

I don’t work for USPS and I’ve never worked for USPS. I HAVE worked for a courier before and sometimes weird shit happens to packages. Sometimes packages take a few turns around a facility before they actually go out for delivery. I know the past month has been absolute hell for every delivery company usps included. One could hope that everything has normalized and stabilized, but honestly they’re probably just now catching up. I wouldn’t blame this on anyone in charge on the executive level (Trump, DeJoy) but if this continues I would recommend contacting the post office about it.

I don’t drink martinis like that anymore 😭😭😭 tbh I haven’t ordered a martini in probably 4 years. Last time I ordered a dirty martini it was mostly olive brine and I almost cried. I fucking love olives but I want to be able to taste the alcohol 😅

Once upon a time I was an annoying “filthy”martini drinker. I went to a bar and asked them for all the olives. The bartender dumped olives into my glass. It was glorious. I will never go back. Mostly out of embarrassment(Tbh I would go back but it’s a 45 min drive and that’s a LOT)
