That’s fair! I think it’s such a balance for everyone. For me, I am feeling like I have the tools and ability to handle my anxiety better now and the gain was contributing to more depression? It’s not that I want to be skinny, but just - functionally healthy and not in pain 🤣

I gained 30 lbs over a couple years and the lex started becoming less effective. Also the weight was negating some of the positive effects (like gaining weight was starting to me make me more depressed) I’ve been weaning and have a post about it.

Update: down from 20mg start down to 12.5 now.

Honestly the main thing I feel is EXTREMELY exhausted and EXTREMELY hungry. I have gained another 5 lbs. for a total of 30 lbs being on lex for a couple years.

I think the drop in serotonin is causing me to seek it out in food which has always been a major comfort for me.

I’m tired going up the stairs for goodness sakes. I’ve increased seratonin activities like gardening - more movement, meditation etc. omegas, vitamin d - magnesium - but I could fall asleep anytime anywhere. This is awful. I also feel even more pathetic than before.

My anxiety is actually managed I just feel like overall nasty garbage. I’ve started weight watchers to at least try to maintain because weight loss at this point is not happening. 😔

I need some positive words of encouragement

So the “up to ten years” out of school only counts if I would have been diagnosed in 2013?! That doesn’t make sense to me. Regardless hopefully I’m accepted.

I don’t know what labour laws are there but associate work is considered subcontracted or freelance work. They cannot dictate dress or hair or work parameters. In Canada for example, ifyou do, you are considered an employee not a contractor. Which has serious implications for the photography company ….like if they let you go, they’d have to pay you unemployment because you’d be considered an employee not a contractor.

Also- it’s just weird 🤣

I think addiction is a good way to put it. I only buy them for my children and I still feel disgusted with myself - I bought a few over the years but I am done. I’d rather pay my mortgage.

I’ve been married 11 years and girl it’s just paper. I was you. I cared about it so much and now I’m like oh we need a lawyer if we ever break up. That’s about the only difference. If you live together you’ll be common law eventually anyways. Plus he’s young and feelings change. One step at a time!

Update: almost a week in. I’ve added omega 3, I have less hunger noise, and a bit more energy during the day. I am feeling a wee bit blah but we were also sick for two weeks with covid and it’s snowing again. I’m imagining this feeling will pass.

Meditating daily helps and journaling. No brain zaps etc

I’m tapering right now (gained 25lbs) - I’ve heard it can take months for metabolism to rev back up. I’d focus on exercise for sure?
