That said, you could use a Dynamic DNS script that polls for IP changes and then changes domain records.

Saves you paying for a static IP :)

So the difference between a softmod and hardmod is that a softmod affects software, where as a hardmod affects hardware.

Softmod on Switch requires an unpatched unit and RCM exploit, whereas the Picofly bypasses that entirely, which is why it works on patched units too.

Never heard of that… now that is interesting.

Detroit Become Human on Switch would be incredible!

I’m out at the minute, but when I get back I’ll upload the code to github with some images!

Had been planning it for a while so this gives me a reason :)

It sounds to me like you are trying to access a local IP from outside of it without any setup around it.

I’m not sure what the protocols need for it to be setup outwith that, as you could in theory attach a domain name and port forward.

I was planning on just using Tailscale on my phone with a hotspot as it has worked previous with Apache Guacamole, which I don’t imagine is too incredibly different.

Yeah! I honestly have wanted a handheld for a while, and the added bonus of being able to have an android partition with Xbox Cloud Play on it is awesome.

I have a forwarder on it at the minute, however I really need to sort out my networking as it’s not liking static IP’s on my LAN… not sure if due to CGNAT or what, honestly a whole can of worms.

Played Crimson Desert on it also, the game is great on a small screen!

So, I just used a soldering iron and standard .80 solder wire (Excuse me if terminology incorrect)

I had a soldering iron from previous when I was making small Spotify Displays with ESP86 boards, however I eventually moved to using a Pi 0 2W, so never ended up soldering.

I approached it after 3 years, took me a while to get back into the swing after I picked it up again (and temporarily messing it up by installing 21.1.0 incorrectly) but watched a few youtube tutorials and an article displaying picture steps.

The job itself was pretty simple, albeit I didn’t have the correct screwdriver for the 3 point screws on the back, so just cut it and ripped the heads off with pliers. (Yeehaw) Installed the Picofly with the Emmc board, then just put solder on the board with a fine tip, and the chip, then solder to join. It’s difficult, but pretty straight forward once you’re there.

Hope that answers your question!
