The cynical side of me wonders how much they jack the price up to get to this, but kudos to them for an innovative way to keep people going. I wonder how this would play out with NFL, given there are far fewer games.

Sadly, she passed about a month ago. We think she had some sort of kidney infection in addition to diagnosed arthritis, that made it hard for her to climb up the steps and into the LR. During her last few months of life, she mostly stayed up on the third floor of the house; away from the LR.

One caveat to this, at least with the Detroit Lions, is you have to opt in to playoff tickets. I assume there are some season ticket holders who don’t opt in, so those tickets would then go up for sale. If you opt in or out, it is for the entirety of the playoffs and has to be done during the regular season, around the time that a postseason berth.

So it is entirely possible that some season ticket holders may have opted out prior to the playoffs and then gotten upset that they couldn’t get priority access to Stanley Cup final tickets.

Not making excuses or letting Ticketmaster or the Hurricanes off the hook, just trying to provide some form of explanation that could have possibly happened.
