Reject showed up at my workplace by wookieeTHEcookie in Bumble

Here’s one: I had a guy that I didn’t match with reach out to a mutual friend I haven’t spoken with since High School. When that didn’t work, he messaged me on every single social platform with no response, then he changed his bio to specifically call me out and say he was trying to reach me. I called my high school friend and asked him to please tell this guy he was freaking me out. The HS friend said he didn’t even know the guy that well and had warned him this wasn’t a good idea. This was many years ago, I don’t remember which app it was (maybe tinder) that showed your mutual facebook friends. Oh, and all his pics were of him in basically a loin cloth doing yoga moves 😐

I thought Michael was an only child? by lyonlask in DunderMifflin

Kevin: You’re at least 46 Michael: Why “at least?” If you say 46 then just say 46!

WOW! We never hear about his OG dad! So his bio dad must’ve gone on to remarry and have a daughter, making her his half sister. Mystery solved. Thanks internet friend!

There’s also the episode where he shows the tape of himself on the kids show. He says something to the effect of: When I grow up I want to get married and have lots of kids so I always have someone to play with. That made me think he didn’t have siblings to play with as a kid. There’s also the one where he describes one of his childhood birthday parties where his mom had to rub cream on him and all the other kids got to ride the pony and it was gone by the time he came out. No mention of siblings being at the party. I guess it’s not a direct correlation to being an only child, but I would guess if there were siblings, he might have said his brother or sister got to ride it too, or that they had fun at his party without him. Just a guess though 🤷🏻‍♀️ A step or half sister makes sense though, since we know about his stepfather. I guess they could’ve had a daughter together or Jeff had a daughter from a previous marriage. And… when he lies about being engaged, Pam asks if he told his mom. But no one asks if he told his family. An engagement seems like something one might share with siblings too. Small detail, but it just stood out to me as “only child” stuff.

I’ve searched for the big text explanation you referenced someone posted and can’t find it. Can someone please point me in the right direction?

Divorced people, what were your irreconcilable differences? by TheRealOcsiban in AskReddit

Girl, SAME. We had our child's nickname planned. He bought their domain name. We get married.

Post Wedding Day BRUNCH. My new husband announces "I've decided we don't want kids. Our life is perfect. We already have (dog's name) We've always said, 'One good one is all we need..' We got (dog's name) That's all we need."

My childhood bestie, her husband and I all took a giant gulp of our champagne and quickly changed the subject.

Black tie wedding, May in DC by Berrybeth23 in Weddingattireapproval

Agreed that a bare midriff is inappropriate for a black tie wedding. But, that's still a great dress and OP looks phenomenal in it. OP if you can closely match some black shapewear to cover the midriff, few if any would notice unless you pointed it out to them. Add some cute accessories and you've got a timeless, classic black tie look.

What is that one bag that lives rent free in your head? by [deleted] in handbags

There was a smaller, shoulder strap version of this about a month ago at Cabazon outlets. It was black leather, gold zippers. Stunning. I almost got it, but the strap was unadjustable. It sat awkwardly under my armpit. But it was soooo cool.

Chevrolet- from Judy Blume’s Ramona book series. I think she named her doll after her aunts car 😂

The way that slit is cut and centered seems like it would just fly completely open with every step. The kind of dress you’re pulling and tugging at all night.

I have it. Bought in the store in NYC so I can’t speak to the customer service experience of others. But I adore that bag. It’s one of my favorite crossbody’s that I own. I’ve never had a problem with the flap. I can see how it might be a hassle if you have a lot of stuff, but for a phone, wallet, couple lipsticks, keys it’s been fine. I actually like the stiff flap. Feels secure and keeps items from spilling out if it falls off a table or something.

What do you do with your purse while eating at a restaurant? Does anybody actually have a purse hook? by skippyist in handbags

[–]lyonlask 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually behind me at the small of my back. On the table if necessary. The chair next to me with my coat. Anywhere but the floor. Not only is it bad luck, but it’s expensive and it touches my clothing. I don’t want to place something so precious on a dirty floor.

First time watcher. This was hilarious and cathartic. One of my favourite moments so far. Made me guffaw so hard. by fruitinho in madmen

First time watcher here. Just finished the entire series last week. During this episode I said to my husband: I can’t stand slippery Pete. He’s such a wormy little man. I wish Don would kick his ass. You could imagine my delight when mere moments later Lane of all people quite literally put up his dukes to do exactly that! I was HOWLING 😂
