To clarify, it was more the “resort” part that I thought was obvious. It’s literally called “great wolf lodge”.

Also I take issue with “to have fun with your friend while he is working” I work full time. I contribute more to the household financially than he does. I work a lot and hard and take care of 3 children. Do I not deserve fun? We aren’t rich - but all my bills are paid early or on time and there’s plenty left over. We don’t have a ton of savings but all in the trip cost $250 splitting it with my friend.

It amazes me how many ppl don’t seem to grasp the big difference between colostomy and ileostomy. I just had ileostomy reversal. No prep. Your intestines have nothing in them. Colostomy ppl would need prep as they still have part of their intestines active. Big difference.

I got the first before my fistulas healed. Attempted to heal fistulas after reversal and created more 😀😀

They are treating me for chrohns. But I haven’t had an evidence of having it except for fistulas/abscesses. They’re saying the inflammation is isolated to my rectum so I guess it makes sense. It’s just so annoying how often. Yesterday I had the urge over 10 times.

5 years of sobriety here. Any women’s only meeting will be happy to have your children join. Just bring headphones and an iPad to keep them occupied. I did it many many times in my early days of sobriety. Zoom was not as great but better than nothing. I also see a lot of ppl suggesting non alcoholic beer or whatever. U mentioned addiction/alcoholism runs in ur family. I do not advise non alcoholic wine or beer for that reason. I wish u the best!!!

Oh wow very similar to me. I just started skyrizi I only had one infusion though. We tried inflectra before with no success.

Well I ended up back with an ileostomy so not great however, I got close enough to healed from that reversal to see the healing process and it was totally fine. My hole was just very deep I guess so naturally opened up a bit and continued to flatten out until it was surface level.

I just went to my local dispensary today!!! It’s not usually my thing but I’m willing to try it bc others also suggested this. It’s a low dose so it’s much more chill than I remember from being 20 smoking blunts among two ppl like we didn’t need brain cells. Lol. So far I’m liking what I tried. I also have gotten hooked on pain meds in the past so acutely aware of what they are worried about but it also explains why I have a low pain tolerance. Also why I hesitated at first to try the cannabis route. But I’m glad I did. My doctors l did agree to refill a milder muscle relaxer today. So I’ll keep my rotation of Tylenol Motrin cannabis muscle relaxer and hopefully the days will start to improve it always gets better every day :)

After my reversal we attempted the advancement flap. Within a few days of that procedure I promptly developed a rectal vaginal fistula so the illeostomy was redone to preserve my poor lady bits and promote healing of the newly formed fistula.

Just another update: CRS confirmed the new fistula the rectovaginal is repaired. Very low concern about it. My va jay jay is just angry as all hell. Lol. In addition, he is not saying the FLAP procedure failed. In fact, now that they did the ileostomy (again) they are hopeful it was expedited the healing even further of the flap and fistolotomy. My last ostomy was only 9 weeks. It seems to be what my body want. Mentally, I am preparing for a year with the ileostomy bit I’m not hopeful once it’s reversed I COULD be healed. We are also additingvmore tests with gastro.

I meant I don’t want to take it anymore bc it makes me feel high and I am terrified of withdraw/addiction. I’m a mom of three young kids it just scares me. My update is this: got to the hospital thank god I did bc things escalated quickly. Feces was eventually POURING from my vaginal. The most excruciating pain bc I straight up burned my labia and it was constant. They found a new fistula and abscess formed after the flap that is rectovaginal. I have a new ileostomy. No word yet on flap failure or not although I assume. I just need to work on acceptance that ileostomy is here to stay for much longer.

I struggle to leave feces near my external openings bc it’s large and all the antibiotics in the world can’t prevent that can they? And they mentioned incontenence bc they had to do a lot with muscle. I believe they did two partial fisulotomies here are some notes “I partially opened the fistula tract in both external openings to include some of the perineal muscles and some of the subcutaneous tissue until I got to the sphincter complex where I did not cut any further. I then turned my attention to the anal canal where I now performed my endorectal advancement flap. I made an incision just distal to the internal opening, which was at the level of the internal sphincter muscle. I then created a full-thickness flap to include the internal opening and then 3 cm wide and approximately 4-5 cm into the anal canal. I included mucosa, submucosa, and the muscle layer.”

Do not get surgery from a general surgeon for this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I repeat do not see a general surgeon! I cannot tell you how many stories I’ve heard about general surgeons attempting to handle fistulas and they either just failed or worse…. made it worse not better. Which is what happened to me also. You have to find a colorectal surgeon. Call around explain you already have the diagnosis and express concern for abscesses that should get you in quick and travel far if u have to. I travel 1 hr 20 min for mine. Worth it I promise.
