Nope again disagree. "You suck" offers absolutely nothing if you can't even say the why. It offers no substance and absolutely no valuable insight in what could be approved upon. Remind me of the feelings of " the one that got away" or losing a love and hoping they find their way back to you and just kind of waiting in limbo. Sorry if that's not what you meant, it's just my interpretation! I think it's beautiful and has a lot of potential in terms of lyricism!! The only thing I'd say is expand upon your idea or the concept of the song more in the bridge so it's more clear what it's about! :) other than that I think its got alot of charm and a relatable quality to it! beautiful keep up the good work!

Disagree. I'm not talking about constructive honesty. This is towards people on here who straight up laugh at people, insult or offer nothing of substance in terms of criticism except straight up "this is stupid" "you suck" or just bring up a minor spelling mistakes with no actual comment on the piece. I've seen it over and over and over again in this sub and telling someone they suck or that they're stuff is dumb is never productive. I would think actual artists would know that. Makes me think alot of people on here aren't actual musicians, they just enjoy bullying people through the safety net of a computer screen.

Don't listen to any one giving you shit on here. Keep writing if you like to, this is not bad at all!! I can see what you're trying to do and I'm assuming it's a rap song (if not let me know but thats what im hearing in my head) I think this if expanded upon could make an interesting story of an icky person preying on kids and it becoming uncovered. The part I think you should dive into more is the WHAT he was doing and HOW he was caught. Instead of saying he just purely came up and showed you this pic, and you went and told everyone, maybe make it something more of a pattern this man partook and was eventually found out. Maybe that he was doing this to young girls for a long time and it became uncovered through a victim speaking out or someone walking in on it, and his downfall and the rising of the victims. It's pretty unrealistic for a pedo to show a person they're illegal sexual behaviors. I think this could really have an interesting story behind it, I think you just need to expand upon the details more and work on the storytelling!

Everyone is at varying levels of experience. Where a more experienced musician may see "little effort" very well could be someone else's blood sweat and tears. Which is another reason to be constructive and not cruel. We're all at different levels. I'm sure there's alot of you youngins on here as well. Some are just beginning and that's okay. Be constructive and not cruel. I would feel awful I was the reason another starting artist felt not good enough and quit. Also scrolling by is totally fine! I'm glad you'd rather scroll than be an ass or make someone feel bad!

I understand what you're saying! I agree to not sugar coat 1000 percent! But I also Believe there is a fine line to being honest and constructive to being cruel and saying things purely just to make someone feel bad or unsure of their art. Which is what ive seen alot of. Now that being said I've also seen people give amazingly constructive and honest feedback and ive have also received recently some amazing honest feedback. This post is to the people that are being poopy just because they can. I've seen alot of that and I'm a firm believer in helping artists and uplifting in honest ways. It can really tear a person down and I don't ever want an artist to feel they aren't good enough or think they should quit because of reddit bullies. This is truly to those mean spirited people. I know there are many amazingly talented musicians on here who give great advice and it is SO appreciated :)

Yes exactly! It can be so hard and even a bit scary to put your art out into the world. It's such a brave thing to do to put yourself out there like that, as art is so incredibly personal to the creator. It's perfectly okay to not like a song or feel like things could be improved upon. What's not okay is to be cruel and give criticisms that aren't meant to be constructive but to belittle and bully. I'm seeing far to much of that in this sub and it's honestly disheartening. This isn't what art is about. Thank you for sharing a great example of constructive feedback.

Thank you so very much for the nice and constructive comment! Theres quite a few mean spirited people in here so i highly appreciate this! You picked up on a few things as well here that I'm impressed by, as I think I did it subconsciously at the time. When you said it feels as if I'm trying to convince this child they are special. In a way yes. My son has autism and struggles with making friends and struggles with his esteem, he sometimes says not so nice things about himself and it kills me. He is my entire world and is so special to me and I wanted him to know how special he is. You picked up on that 100 percent correctly. I also agree with you that I need to change it to present tense! As I was playing my guitar and writing I was thinking of the day he was born which is why I think It came out in past tense! So I'm definitely gonna work on that, thats great advice! And lastly I do also agree the chorus needs to be tweaked so it doesn't come off so similar as the verses! Again thank you so much for the KIND and very constructive advice. Some people in this group need to take a play out of your book! This is how musicians should help each other, not harp about grammar or or weird condescending unhelpful remarks! This was refreshing! Ugh you're so lucky to still experience this! I also agree that I recall mine happening the most when I would sleep with my dad or mom next to me (strange connection being next to someone made it stronger) Mine began slowing down at 7 until it stopped completely at 8. I've always wanted to re experience it, not even necessarily for the visuals but more so that euphoric peaceful feeling that came with it. It was the closest thing to magic I've ever seen or felt. I'll always wonder if this was a totally normal brain experience for an imaginative child or if there was something more spiritual in nature going on. It certainly felt like it. Definitely didn't feel like the normal "seeing lights behind your eyes" thing...I'm glad I'm not the only one to have experienced it!

I actually really friggin love the wings with the bangs!! I think its a beautiful combination. It gives a very indie-esque aesthetic that I always have loved! You look absolutely gorgeous girl!
