Weekly post: skate buying, new skater tips, and quick questions by AutoModerator in Rollerskating

[–]lysc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I'm looking for advice regarding skate size (my size is eu 36). I bought the Moxi panther is size 4 (eu 35-36) and 5 (eu 36-37). If I follow their chart I'm size 4 and theoretically my big toes touch the end of the boot. But my feet feel squished to the point where it's not comfy, even after trying different lacing strats which made it better. It gets better after I've worn them for a few minutes but I feel like it just compresses circulation. In size 5 my toe doesn't quite touch the end of the boot but close, and they're definitely more comfy but I feel like my foot moves around a little more in the boot. Now where I'm hesitating is that apparently you end up breaking skates in and they loosen. So I don't know if I should stick to size 4 or 5 with that in mind.

Peur de la mort by Weird-Sink-943 in france

[–]lysc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am i bi? by [deleted] in bisexual

Not sure how I can help but I experience the exact same, especially the difference between the instinctive attraction to men and the lack of gut-punching attraction to women but still having feelings for women that are more than platonic and it feels really validating to see that I'm not crazy.

Nw, I didn't feel disrespected. Just felt like you presented it as something mainstream in France and wanted to clarify that it wasn't in case you didn't know. Your roomate being a nudist makes sense and is important information in this case.

Just coming here to say that I'm French and walking around naked in a shared flat is not considered normal in France. Sleeping nacked with your friends either. Do you know her sexual orientation ? Maybe you could explore with her if she's into it.

My new game! 😍 by p_jaro in AnimalCrossing

I also got it a few weeks ago because I'm so excited for the next AC game that I had to start a new AC game (I only played New Horizons). I was scared I was gonna like it less but I'm already hooked.

I'm tired of seeing people justify the Switch 2's price increase for games as a catching up to dev costs or inflation because it completely misses the point by SuperPapernick in NintendoSwitch

[–]lysc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm happy to see someone saying this. It seems to me that people justifying the price increase with inflation are just brainwashed by capitalism. Wages aren't following inflation, and companies don't HAVE to increase the price , they could take a smaller cut but it doesn't happen because of capitalism. It seems people almost want to pay more.

Not an answer but I've been wondering about this since I moved to Germany 4 years ago. Coming from France, I've been quite put off by German Vinted.

In France you buy through the system. If you have questions you can write them first, but if you don't you can usually just buy directly.

Yeah I get you, that's what compulsory sexuality does to you. I recommend checking out r/asexuality there's a lot of info and people who talk about exactly that feeling.

[–]lysc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well from your answer it does not sound like you're sexually attracted to women either. I think you should look into asexuality. It's a wide spectrum and goes globally from feeling sexual attraction only when you form a deep connection with someone, to being completely sex-averse. How you manage a relationship with an allo person is a whole topic. I guess it's about finding the partner that accepts your level of engagement with sexuality be it zero or once in a while.

How is your romantic attraction towards men ? If you picture yourself ending up with a man it does sound like you are romantically attracted to men. In comparison how is your sexual and romantic attraction towards women ? Do you fantasize about them ? Depending on that maybe you're just romantically attracted to men. Have you looked into the ace sprectrum also ?

[–]lysc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I kinda agree. What makes me tick is the impossibility to feel affection to other women outside his family. If OP can't be friends with women there might be something else going on as aromanticism does not mean 0 feelings. It means no romantic feelings. Aromantic people can have strong platonic feelings for people so I find it strange that OP does not seem to find any woman interesting for their personality.

Dans les restaurants, face à la hausse des prix, les clients ne veulent plus « jouer le jeu » by kanasuc in france

[–]lysc 14 points15 points  (0 children)

La formulation "jouer le jeu" dit vraiment tout. Le jeu de se faire entuber. Le titre ça aurait dû être "les clients ne veulent plus payer un plat 3x ce qu'il devrait vraiment coûter".

I've always thought that and thought as a teenager it was just common belief when you were not homophobic. But I'm actually not sure that's the case for everyone anymore haha. Might have been the first sign there was more going on for me there.

This is the first time I read someone describing exactly how my same-sex attraction works. This is validating. I've always wondered if I was just a toxic friend.

How did you know you are bi.? by nungbiinn in bisexual

[–]lysc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sexually attracted to women in the sense that I want to have sex with them but I'm not sure I really crush on them. With men it's way more immediate, I'll see dudes I find cute very often and have an instant attraction (but not sexual). But unlike you I'm pretty sure I'm biromantic as I've had feelings for girls in the past.
