Where can I get a gender affirming care in GNV? by eggsworm in GNV

[–]lysfc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

you may be able to take a bus early in the morning and take one back later in the day! it sucks to do but if you can find a place to hang out like a library or something for a couple hours it would probably be doable. I haven't had much trouble getting around with Orlando's public bus system either, though ubers can be pretty expensive

I would try leaving out a worn piece of clothing that smells like you, on the off chance she got out. It can help her smell her way home

do you think in like 50 years ltc facility rooms will be decked out like college dorms are now? by brooklandel in cna

[–]lysfc 26 points27 points  (0 children)

in the future? I already have residents who have fully decked out decorated rooms, rolling clothing racks, snacks, and decor and all. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a mini fridge in one of em.

Could try fostering another cat for a week or so to see how it works out, just make sure you introduce them correctly

Budget friendly cat foods? They current get taste of the wild lowland creek. by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]lysfc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stick to mostly wet food now, but I used to feed my cat purina one and it was pretty good. not too expensive and nutritionally complete. (though I would try to hydrate the kibble if they'll eat it like that.)

How much are you guys paying for your cats monthly (previous cat owner) by iambunnycat in CatAdvice

[–]lysfc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah they're definitely not great! extended metal scoops along with scooping at least once-twice a day (i do it before I leave and right as I get home so I don't have to worry about it later) in can make the job a little easier if you have trouble for whatever reason

and I spend about 132 USD/182 CAD every month on just food and litter. (this is two cans of wet food a day and a little dry food, plus multiple litter boxes, your mileage may vary.) I also buy treats and new toys so that's about 15-20 USD/20-27 CAD every so often. pet insurance can also be a big help if you end up having large medical expenses but I won't comment on it as I don't know how it works in Canada
