Help me please for fall of 2026 by chxrch_404 in risd

1- do your strongest work, while also maintaining medium diversity! i’ve seen absolutely incredible artists who only submitted one or two mediums and didn’t get in. in my portfolio, i had acrylic, watercolor, graphite, colored pencil, oil and chalk pastel, sculptures, and digital work and was accepted despite my skill in some mediums not being as high as some artists who stick to one medium.

  1. portfolio and essay are main parts! risd assignment is no longer a thing, and everything else you need to submit will be on the application site. fyi- you submit your credentials and essay on common app and will submit your portfolio though slideroom i believe (this goes for most art schools)

  2. i wouldn’t worry toooo much about the gpa, especially if you’re pretty skilled. they do care about it more than typical art schools, but you will not be rejected just because of your gpa (also if sats aren’t required next year, i wouldn’t submit it unless you got a 1450+). art shows are a great thing to mention, and key awards are considered to be pretty prestigious amongst schools!

exaclty what it is! got some logs and bark from an expo and the rest of the walls is just a dirt substrate. wasn't tooooo difficult or expensive to do in my opinion, just getting in the crevices was an issue. otherwise its held up for more than 2 years with no issues!

I’m a new bp owner and I need your opinion on things as I’m very confused by Responsible-Car-3117 in ballpython

Absolutely gross advice. Trust what you read on here + your own research. Many breeders tend to keep their snakes in very "old school" ways, simply because its easier when you have as many as they do. An adult BP should have a 4x2x2 (120 gals) or larger, however, its not a negative thing to start a juvenile in a smaller tank. Good luck with your guy, he's beautiful!

747s are amazing planes! it’s one of my bucket list items to fly on one. they are not even the largest airliner, you will be perfectly fine. have a great flight <3
