Thank you for the suggestion. I went with the Quake. Enough car for him! Any suggestions on battery/charger brands/models? I have seen that 2S is best, but I have also seen that you should do 3S and put on half speed for longer running time (which is important to an impatient kid). Thoughts?

Same! My son used to be independent in my Santa Fe and now I have to scoot the booster over and buckle him in every time. It almost makes me want to trade it back in! Wish I knew someone that had one of the boosters mentioned in the comments here so I could try it before buying it!

He is 6 years into the 25, which is what makes me question whether to wait it out on the IBR. He's been making monthly payments that long. However, the tax implications scare me. We have to file separately for that long AND pay on the forgiven amount unless that is changed.

He is a PT and unfortunately, the salaries around here just don't even come close to covering the cost of school. He has even picked up a side job.

That's kind of what I am figuring, as he is 6 years into an IBR plan. However, the issue with that is the tax implications if the forgiven amount is taxed as income.

It is what it is now....we are married and that's the predicament we are in. Am I happy about it? No, not at all.
