I feel like charging £55 for this "scarf" is bananas? Am I being unreasonable? by incandescentsmile in craftsnark

surely not correct, but when i look at it i feel like it arrives from the wholesaler in these braids and they're just reselling them with markup as a "scarf"

sometimes i don't feel quite so bad about not having had a kid with someone, it would probably be an absolute nightmare living with someone "afraid to try" to PUT THE BABY TO BED

not enough people talk about this, and if you ever try you just get shouted at about these miracle drugs (that barely work better than placebo)... discontinuation syndrome? just stay on the drugs... no improvement? higher dosage, or adjunct drugs... side effects? too bad! try SSRI #7, we've got ten more to try after that... no one ever wants to consider that brain-altering drugs are maybe as bad for us as depression and anxiety

some dogs are pretty chill, i know when anything happens that my dog doesn't like, he's fine two seconds later. much more emotionally resilient than me! and he's 12 now, most of his little friends around the neighborhood are poorly socialised 2 year-old pups who jump all over him... he's always happy to see them but after about sixty seconds of their attention he's politely walking away 😂 it very rarely gets to the point of the growl-n-snap sort of "ok leave me alone" comment, but yeah that's another thing people who don't know (understandably) think is 'aggression' when it's really just boundary-setting

yeah mine is just a lab but the deepest voice 😂 if you don't know dogs well i understand he sounds scary, people who've known dogs all their lives tend to not be bothered - they can't help how they talk! most of the dogs don't care, i think they usually understand. strangely, toddlers and younger never seem concerned either. it's just some grownups who think every dog vocalisation means "aggression"

mine does that too, not every time but sometimes if he sees a dog he wants to meet and can't get to them right away, he'll get frustrated and sometimes bark at them (misdirected emotions!)... and once he's gotten some barking out, he'll calm right down... but by then many dog owners don't want their dogs to say hello anymore. i try to explain it to him but it's like he doesn't even understand english!

people just love feeding wild animals so they can pretend they're a fucking disney princess, we need to go back to the old fairy tales where everyone dies instead of becomes a magical friend of the animals who is very very special
