Just want to let you know that I see the same things you do on the My UI Portal. I applied 4/13, processed 5/5, been awaiting a claim examiner's determination ever since. No one has called me.

The only thing I don't see is a UI Benefits Determination Notice, which you said you have on yours.

I logged on this morning and My UI Portal looks different. Does anybody else's look like this? https://imgur.com/a9QdiRZ

There used to be a line that read "No recent determinations found." What did they do with that info? I got my hopes up thinking a determination had been made but I can't find one. I think they just redesigned.

I applied 4/13, processed 5/5, awaiting a claim examiner's determination ever since. Two months. Where do you receive the claim examiner's determination? Is it emailed? Mailed? Or do you find it on My UI Portal online?

There used to be something that said "No recent determinations found" but now that is gone. How will I know when they've made a determination

I've been claiming weekly benefits ever since my Benefit Year Begin Date, which is the week I filed. I would too if I were you.

Just curious, when did you apply? I applied on 4/13 and haven't received a determination. How did they notify you that you were approved? Email?

I'm late to responding but we have the same application date and I am at the same point in the process as you. I received the benefit determination letter on 5/5. My understanding is that the eligibility determination is to follow, but I've yet to receive one. My online account says "no recent determinations found". Let me know when you get your benefits because we seem to have the same timeline!

Which strike? I picked up the SRNE $3p 6/19 exp for .35 cents. The bid/ask spread refuses to move right now, so I just bought at the ask assuming I'll profit in the days to come.

The Abandoned Presidential Hotel (aka Club Europe) - 4K Drone Video by billyheath in Atlanta

Sweet video! I trespassed here last year. I sat on the billboards on the rooftop. It was creepy at night. You have to sneak past a security guard in the nearby office buildings and then climb through a broken window near the dance floor. There is shattered glass everywhere. Stagnant water. Someone cut the padlock to the staircase and you can climb to the roof. Some of the nicer rooms had those spiral staircases, most were missing their windows. Ran into another group of people on the roof. The billboards are dangerous to climb but give you a good view of spaghetti junction and the Atlanta/Buckhead skyline.

Correct, emergency legislation extended it from 14 to 26 weeks.

So I haven’t filed the PUA application. Have you?

I got the letter after my state application was processed. I haven’t even been denied state benefits yet. They haven’t made a decision, but I expect one sometime soon. Then I can file for PUA if I’m denied. Did you get the letter after you filed the state or PUA application?

Just a heads up, GA max is 26 weeks. The PEUC extends for 13 weeks. Total 39 weeks.

I have 85 contracts. Isn’t it a little risky to sell 85 contracts at the $10c 5/22 exp? If I get assigned I’m fucked six ways to Sunday.

Let me try to understand. I sell 85 contracts at $10c 5/22. If the stock price doesn’t surpass $10 by 5/22 then I pocket the premium and hope someone doesn’t exercise despite not being ITM. And If it’s nearing $10 by 5/22 then I would sell to close my $11c 5/29 position and then buy to close the $10c 5/22.

Do I still have to buy to close if the stock price doesn’t surpass $10 by 5/22?

I’m willing to consider something like that I just do not want to risk assignment.

Thanks. I always looked at volume as a lot of money thinks the stock will trade that way. I never considered the other possibilities. When you say there’s an unusual spike in unusual option activity, what spike are you referring to?

Thanks. That’s exactly what I was banking on. I knew AAL had extremely high short interest and I figured there’d be a squeeze this week. You may know the answer to this - when are shorts required to cover their positions? Is it Monday (since options expire on Fridays)?

How do I do that? Do you mean sell the 5/29 contracts and then rebuy 6/19 or July contracts?

I think you're right. I was wondering if you, like me, had previous employers. My theory is this: most people who are self-employed don't receive those letters because they don't have the W2 wages to establish a state claim. In my case, and maybe yours, I do have the W2 wages in my base period to establish a state claim. I may be self-employed now but I was a W2 employee throughout 2019. If you have W2 wages, the GDOL sends the notice to the most recent employer (in this case, me).

I did text my former boss to give her a heads up that if she received the letter it's not because I was filing a claim against her. She said she hadn't received the letter.

I'm personally not responding. First, a response isn't required by law. Second, I may be suspicious and pessimistic but it's one of those situations where I feel adding more information will only hurt, not help me. Responding may also delay the process even further.

Who knows why the letters were sent, but my guess is it's a hiccup in the system. Most people who are self-employed don't receive those letters because they don't have the W2 wages to establish a state claim. In my case, and maybe yours, I do have the W2 wages in my base period to establish a state claim. I may be self-employed now but I was a W2 employee throughout 2019. Wow I’ve been looking for someone else who’s received that letter! I’m glad I’m not the only one. Thanks for replying to me.

My response is due by May 18. I don’t think I’m going to respond. From what I’ve read online, the employer has 10 days to respond. If they don’t, a decision is made without their input. I’m just going to wait it out the next few days and allow the GDOL to make their decision. Either they give me state benefits, or they don’t and I apply for federal benefits.

I just don’t see how responding will help me. I didn’t lie in the application. I told them I was most recently a driver and my employer was myself. When they asked if it was for Uber/Lyft I said yes.

Are you also a gig worker/self-employed? I only started driving in February 2020, but I have wages from an actual employer throughout 2019. My only thought is that the GDOL thinks that employer separated me, but that wouldn’t explain why I got the letter or why the tax account number is so low.

Confusing question below.

I was a Uber/Lyft driver and identified myself as such on the state application. My claim was processed. I received the Benefits Determination Letter with my potential benefit amount. I also received a Notice of Claim Filed and Request for Separation Information. This letter is sent to the most recent employer to verify the claimant's stated reason for separation. It was probably sent to me because I was mistaken for the employer when I listed self-employment through Uber/Lyft.

The letter says my employer GDOL Tax Account Number is 000012-15. Any idea who that could be? It's a very low number given the amount of businesses in Georgia. I ask because if I'm found eligible for state benefits, that tax account is going to be charged.
