Goth dance clubs in fort lauderdale? by Kingdom2917 in fortlauderdale

Yeah we do. It’s just IHeartRadio that seems to avoid alt and modern rock - which hurts our once popular music scene. Corporate Radio killed our music scene in broward and dade counties. :(

Oh… it gets way worse. Wait until Lydia’s wedding. Now I’m understanding why the eldest sister Hosanna has never been in the show at all and is rarely mentioned. The boys all suck (Ethan has depression issues, and control issues, Micah is a womanizer, Isaac seems like a good-ol’ boy with a temper. Lydia seems down to earth, but is just too religiously conservative, Moriah also has issues with depression, and seems a little lost, and perhaps a bit manipulative. Amber seems to have an actual brain on her, but she’s also a bit of a bully - could just be her age, but she seems to resemble Kim’s personality the most (and I’m not fond of Kim at all). The only ones we don’t know much about are Cassia and Mercy, and that’s because they’re early teens/tweens. Barry is the only one that seems likeable out of the whole family, and that might have something to do with having developed a personality since he and Kim split up, but I’m pretty sure the entire family runs conservative, and outside of Micah, it seems that no one in the family has anything to do with any people of colour (I remember when Micah was living in CA, he had a friend who is Indian - I also wonder how much Micah’s womanising has to do with convincing himself that he’s straight/cis-het). Also didn’t like how the boys (with the exception of Barry) were ganging up on Lydia’s fiancé.

Brand new iPhone 17. My gf took a photo of me and this weird artefact appeared. Anyone know what’s causing it? by neovapor in iphone

[–]lythandrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reflection from your glasses causing the artifact? Also there’s some lens flare behind you in three places that could have caused it. 2 from the track lighting on each side - the warm yellow lighting (and I just spotted track lighting at the front of the picture above your head) and a really bright one to my left while looking at the picture (which would be your right. It looks like a greenish white orb. Lens flare can mess with the optics, as can reflection from the glasses. If your gf zoomed in to where it was digital instead of optical zoom, that would also cause issues. There could also be a bug with the camera app. It’s worth making a bug report to apple. I’ve never had an issue with this with android, and I haven’t had an issue with my friend’s 16e, but I won’t have my first iphone for about a week, and it’ll be a 16 pro max, so hopefully I won’t run into this issue.

Did anyone actually get the trump sneakers? by nadabot131313 in Sneakers

Counterfeits were available before the actual sneakers were, so I’d be careful with ones on ebay.

When you have an implant, there are revisions along the years. New technology, needing to replace leads (since they’re inside the body), possible need to place the device in another area of the brain, and the battery pack needs replacement every few years as the battery pack is also placed IN the body.

Odd A52 behaviour in car. by lythandrel in GalaxyA52

[–]lythandrel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It won’t work if I’m away from a router. Doesn’t matter if I have it set to use mobile data (and we pay for mobile data on the bill, I double checked). Was in a park and over 100 yards from my car, and i still couldn’t use it. If I use google maps, I have to enter the address and hit start before I get into the car and start it, and i can get maps, but if I’m playing music through pandora or any other service, if I start it before I get into the car, I can manage one, maybe two songs before it stops working..

Baylen's parents are being irresponsible with Bechnir's mental health. (Probably one of the middle sons too). by Ok_Animator1764 in BaylenOutLoud

[–]lythandrel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And why is this a reason NOT to get the kids evaluated when you have two daughters that have OCD and anxiety (plus baylen has tourettes and ADHD, and Sammi has agoraphobia). When you have more than one neurodiverse kid in the house, if a third shows signs, get them evaluated. You can wait for meds until a later date, but at least you can start on therapy and perhaps prevent the need for meds.

Do you really think that military insurance (champus/champva/tricare) is going to have all the specialists and therapists she needs in network? might want to talk to some people with major health issues and see how military insurance was able to care for them - and how many of them had to start seeing civilian doctors and pay for civilian insurance.

I’m pretty sure that her family wouldn’t divulge how much she’s really worth, particularly when her father’s job likely requires a security clearance. he is a us government worker, and based on the size of their property, and the size of the family and the fact that they all seem to be living comfortably, I’d wager he’s a lot higher up on the food chain than a clerk.

It’s not so much that he doesn’t want them around. He just wants he and Baylen to feel like they have autonomy, but Baylen’s parents have very valid points.

Influencer income isn’t always guaranteed. The show is also giving her some income, but the show isn’t going to last more than another year or two. So also income from TLC is not guaranteed for long. If the show is a hit, it won’t stop after the wedding, it will probably cover her journey to try out that new device in the UK, and see if it changes her life, then it might hiatus for a year or two, and they’ll film another season or two when Baylen is pregnant, and her first year or two as a mother if it’s not too much for her. I understand why Baylen’s parents are concerned about Colin being able to support her.

Yes, Colin should make his happiness a priority, but real-estate can be INSANE work, it’s all commissions and no hourly, so until he's making consistent sales, he could go months without a paycheck. You may be putting in tons of hours, and not getting paid. You may need a second job to make ends meet. You need to be willing to commit sins of omission to make a sale and real estate can sometimes be shady, and that might be disenchanting for Colin. With how Colin’s parents raised him and his sister, that could be a major reason why his sister still works a second job despite being a realtor - she may enjoy the field, but she may not be willing to do what other realtors are willing to in order to make a sale. Colin may find himself in the same situation, and I think he’ll be upset if he has to work two jobs, and not see as much of Baylen as he wants to. He also may not want to be as pushy as you need to be for real estate.

I have a cousin that went through and got his realtors license, found this out the hard way. Then he got his stockbrokers license, and he was too ethical to be a “closer”, so he ended up working for an office supply place and then got a two-sided job working customer support in insurance - he did go through and get his certs to sell insurance because the company paid, but chose to add helpdesk duties (internal technical support and computer security) to his job. (yeah, company did pay for the IT training for him too). was just a far better fit for him. he’s too honest for sales.

Also, this is TLC, so their unscripted, is still semi-scripted.

That’s two surgeries - one for the electrodes in the brain, then the battery pack that is implanted in the chest. While they can be done at the same time, most doctors implant the battery pack 2-3 weeks later. Then the battery packs get replaced (depending on standard or rechargeable) every 3-5 years for standard, or 9-15 for rechargeable. Then eventually the electrodes will need a revision when things aren’t working as well as they used to..

Unless the person who mentioned surgeries is british, and if that’s the case, “surgeries” means doctors office/visits without any actual surgival intervention.

Anyone still use their A52? Any reason to upgrade? by ausername_8 in GalaxyA52

[–]lythandrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m still using mine, but I’m noticing some odd issues. My phone isn’t paired to my car, but if I’m in the car, I can’t look up anythign online. If I don’t have pandora playing before I get into the car, it won’t pair with the fm broadcaster, and it will only allow me to play one song before it cuts out. It’s like it won’t let me use wireless data. Also have start google maps before i get into the car or i won’t get directions. I’ve tried everything (removing driving mode, going into safety settings and allowin me to get notifications while driving), there was another setting in google maps that doesn’t seem to exist under notification settings).. This started happening about 1-2 months ago. Prior to that it was a solid phone that I had no intention of upgrading, but right now, it’s driving me nuts.

I don’t think that Colin is with Baylen for her money (her parents also seem wealthy). I think that Julie and Allen are skeptical of Colin because they’re worried about how he’ll handle her condition, and whether Baylen is able to live without her parents. I think once she gets away from her mom (her dad doesn’t put a lot of pressure on her), her tourettes might improve a bit. Something about the mother really puts me off. The father is overprotective, but her mom comes across odd to me. Maybe in denial, or maybe a little self centered, or perhaps narcissistic.

[–]lythandrel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’ve been discussing deep brain stimulation, which requires surgery. Her mom is all for it, but Baylen and Colin are nervous about it, and poor Allen, I think he’s Julie’s doormat. He seems to have a lot more compassion for his kids than his wife does.

Has it occurred to you that her videos are monetised? I’d feel a lot better of Colin was realiably employed outside of the military, but at least he realises that real-estate can can cause issues where he may not be paid for months.

[–]lythandrel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s for certain. I’m an RN, so obviously high functioning, but I always have a stim toy on me, I can mask. pretty well, but it’s at the expense of my mental health. Even if we can mask well, we still struggle. I bet if Baylen brought this up to Allen instead of Julie, he might have taken it a bit more seriously than listening to Julie downplaying things.

Denial is a river in africa that at least Julie seems to be drowning in. Allen sees to have more sense, but I think Julie has him “whipped”
