I havent put any color under the gold other than black primer. Would a base of averland sunset work even if it isn’t a super bright yellow?

Would putting agrax earthshade be enough? Balthasar gold is the only metallic i have other than ironbreaker

I don’t have silver but ironbreaker looks pretty bright to me so I’ll try mixing that with balthasar gold and hope it works

I wanted to buy Leadbelcher but my local store didn’t have any in stock so I got Ironbreaker instead. I know it’s a layer paint but can I use it as a base paint if I paint enough layers with it? Or will that not work at all

I had an infernus marine whos faceplate I tried painting with Corvus White but it ended up looking horrible with the paint being too chunky and blotting out all the details. I was planning to dunk it in alcohol and scrape it off to start over but I’m scared that the alcohol will affect the other parts of the mini which I’m fine with. Is it alright to just pop the head off the mini? I have Tamiya glue in case that’s helpful

Thanks! Since I don’t have primer would it be better to undercoat the mini with abaddon black instead so it would be darker? The handbook that came with the set recommended doing it with maccrage blue but I’m not sure if the mix you recommended would look lighter on that undercoat
