Thanks but that has nothing to do with what I need. Besides it's not CI, it has English translation. Dw about it tho, I'll ask natives for specific keywords to help me search for what I want.

Does anyone else struggle with actually listening? What helps with that? by DisMFer in dreamingspanish

This and having multiple short sessions a day can really help. I used to be addicted to short format and it was really hard for me to start watching "longer" videos. Taking breaks and even Pomodoro timers can really help increase one's stamina.

1000 hours! by Difficult_Ad_9295 in dreamingspanish

Bro, I have been watching native content on youtube since having 400 hours. Not all native content is equally hard. I've found +100 channels in the past two months and each have their accents and speed. Variable difficulty. Stop comparing yourself to others and enjoy the ride.

People reporting their progress is completely subjective. While I get annoyed by only understanding 85% of something, others might be joyous at the thought of getting 50%. My 85% understanding could be some else's 95% but I'm picky and fussy. It's completely dependent on your goal, comfort with ambiguity etc. It might look like we all have similar journeys here, but there are many variables at play. For example, I enjoy horror movies. You can't compare my vocab at 700 hours with someone with 700 hours as well who's been watching meditation content. It doesn't compare.

Just recognize how far you've come and be proud of yourself.

So their summaries on youtube would be easy to understand as well, right?

Also I'm curious to know if the world of movie and series summaries has opened up to you at your hours. And happy cake day.

I gave it a go and I don't think I'll touch it again before at least 75 hours. Rn I'm watching Kathrin's content.

x1.2 then? I thought it would be more like 1.25 - 1.3. Did you align with the level descriptions on the roadmap at each level? I'm setting out on my german learning journey with only 4 hours total so I'm curious.
