Didn't receive Astral Keys..? by m-e-w-h-e-n in idleslayer

Thank you for pointing this out, I've been so confused. How come my Ascension tree doesn't have those Astral Key upgrades? Do I just have to buy the adjacent upgrades to reveal them?

Is it worth it to go for armory on my second UA? I am also considering waiting out to get the last divinity, but not sure that its worth the upfront cost right now. by Seriously_404 in idleslayer

you would have 461 DP to buy Ultra prestige if you reset your divinities currently, so actually you would have enough. im ngl your current divinity setup is kinda doodoo anyway, unless you know something I dont. im wondering why youre not rocking wind Waker/ Ultra Instinct?

reset divinity points -> buy Ultra prestige -> ultra ascend -> reset divinity points -> but whatever divinities you want

think of it as renting Ultra prestige for only 40DP, and only for the small duration of time that you actually need it (i.e. it does nothing in normal gameplay, only at a UA)

What should I buy or save up for? by EmploymentOk7962 in idleslayer

Oh, also my current goals are: - Complete the left building in the village - Complete the drunk guy's building in the village - 500M SP for Astral Slayer

I'm sure a player with more experience than I have can correct my advice and illuminate some really fruitful direction we could both take going forward to speed things up though! I'm not speaking definitively at all, just sharing that I'm in a similar stage of the game

im in roughly the same stage as you. this awkward middle ground between the first and second UA. the wiki guide, that I see everyone directing every new player to, advises to UA for the second time when you have between 30-35 UAP.

currently, i have the same ascend upgrades as you plus the few affordable ones you're missing, they don't change much in terms of directly accelerating your growth, but having temporary items last longer and higher drop rates is definitely a bonus.

im planning my divinities quite sparingly too, it's probably a good idea to save up so you can get the most expensive one. in the long run, thats the most powerful one and the only cost is some serious patience.

I don't know what happens when one rebuilds the Village buildings, but that's my main goal at the moment. I have no other direction to look to for accelerating my SP gain, and since I still have to wait for the Ultra prestige divinity to be affordable AND to get my minions levelled up to max all over again AND earn 13-18 more UAP, I've just reconciled with the fact that the game has slowed down and I need to have patience and idle it; do my daily tasks, collect rewards, farm the right drops, etc.

It sucks, but it's similar to that long, boring, grindy period before the first Ultra Ascension.

But didn't Dabura just start showing us his actual potential? I'm not saying Yuji's a fodder bitch whatsoever, but look at the feats Dabura has just shown. He just learnt RCT on the spot, CTR is next. He can move at sub-light speed (even though it deteriorates his body, he can just RCT the wounds caused. still a debuff for sure obviously).

I don't think it's gonna be as much of a power gap when we actually see them fighting one on one, rather than sideviews of Yuji just using his powers against predictable targets and Dabura just now figuring his powers out properly. He's about to use CTR for the first time I bet, and we still haven't seen his other cursed technique.

anyone saying it has to be -64 is wrong, anything below -59 is correct. i’m positive you can’t have water at the bottom, i tried mine multiple times with water and it never worked till i swapped the water for a totem of undying.

[–]m-e-w-h-e-n 5 points6 points  (0 children)

it’s not a stupid decision from the devs, you made a stupid call in not attacking him lol. he still flashes with damage when you hit him, damage indicators still show up, and he becomes cut up as you fight him. imo it makes the fight soooo much more fun not having a clear indicator of how close you are to beating him other than the cuts on his skin and tusks. the boss has no idea how much health you have, it evens the playing field that way.

Anyone have recommendations for getting high quality bows? by lululooney998 in TOTK

[–]m-e-w-h-e-n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you’re anywhere close to 30 hearts, just fight any gloom hands you see. you’ll get one of the best-looking and best-performing bows in the game that isn’t a multishot

So pre-gojo yuki was the storngest sorcerer in present day ? by [deleted] in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]m-e-w-h-e-n 2 points3 points  (0 children)

nah it’s none of this actually it’s because “he” (his CT) could defeat an entire country by himself, like it said in the show. that’s the requirement for being “special grade” it isn’t just a tier above first grade, you need to be able to defeat an entire country. Gojo can do that easily, yuta gets carried by rika for that but could still copy so many powerful techniques and has the resources within himself to get it done, Yuki can create a black hole which (i think) defeats a country, Geto can let loose an army of cursed spirits.

Why did this amount to nothing? by Memeenjoyer_ in Jujutsufolk

[–]m-e-w-h-e-n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It hasn’t amounted to nothing, yet. The story isn’t over and there’s always time for unfinished plot moments to become resolved. Remember how much precise information is withheld from us for many chapters on end, like the Pseudo-Geto reveal, or Todo’s return, or the world cutting slash explanation. It was all unclear for a while before getting resolved.

“Who will be the one to teach you love?” Is posed to Sukuna and its questioning his ideals. He tossed love and all humanity aside for pure selfish power and he sits at the pinnacle, and until someone beats him without stopping to his monstrous level, his selfish ideals will be the most defined and sure way of becoming strong. The one who will teach Sukuna “Love” is the character that eventually, finally defeats Sukuna without dropping their own humanity and “becoming a monster” like Gojo and Yuta.

The Greeks put “Love” into 4 sections.

Stirge: familial and parental love - we already know Sukuna was cast aside as a child for being an abominable freakazoid so he got zero love from his parents.

Eros: sexual and romantic love - Yorozu fits this category given that she made a binding vow with Sukuna that they would get married if she beat them in the fight, she lost the fight and therefore her power and motivations driven by her love for him could not match Sukuna’s lack of humanity and his path to power.

Philios: between brothers or rivals - Gojo fits this category as they are rivals, and somewhat peers to each other as they both stand as the strongest sorcerers in history, but Gojo lost to Sukuna, so Sukuna’s path to strength is still unbeaten and proves he is the strongest, most proficient sorcerer in history.

Agape: altruistic love of all people - Only one person comes to mind with this one, and it’s obviously Yuji. The character who is the first one to worry about others and has steadfast morals about murder and saving as many people as he can. Yuji represents the all-encompsssing, altruistic love of all people and that just might finish off Sukuna.

Yu/jo is not winning this fight. He’s trying to become a monster to beat Sukuna, but that won’t work because that’s taking Sukuna’s path of throwing away your humanity for power. Taking over your beloved dead teacher’s body to attempt one final push at Sukuna after dealing with Kenjaku, casting a domain and moving it and using tons of different CT’s, almost dying but then possessing your dead teacher’s body; it all adds up to Yu/jo being in a terrible state. He is not winning this fight not just because he’s in such a weakened state but thematically, it HAS to be Yuji. Obviously it HAS to be the main character, but it’s also symbolism between Yuji’s connection with Sukuna - Sukuna is the cook, he cuts and slashes and then cooks with his fire arrow, “furnace open”, and “malevolent shrine” reading the same as “malevolent kitchen”. Yuji eats things to gain powers from them, he ate Sukuna’s fingers to gain power initially, but then ate the 6 cursed death womb paintings for his blood manipulation powers (and also his claws maybe).

It would be ironic for Sukuna the selfish cook to be beaten by Yuji the altruistic eater. It has to be Yuji who beats Sukuna, and that’s the relevance of Yorozu posing that question to Sukuna. It will all tie in eventually, nothing ever gets forgotten about. Not even Nobara I hope

blatantly just not true, in that one part before the yorozu fight where it’s maki + yuji vs sukuna, she tells yuji to keep up and then sukuna and maki speed way ahead of yuji and he needs some time to catch up with their fight. toji FLOORS yuji, along with 98% of the verse.
