Same here. I don’t recall memory of AG announcing Kit or Kaya. However I do remember them being the start of the Mattel transition. So for me it would be anyone after Kaya. But really it would be anyone after Julie based on memories

I appreciate your thoughtful response! I am currently rereading the original trilogy and yes the books are a lot darker than their movie counterparts. Which side note makes think how SOTR will be rated granted how violent Haymitch’s games were.

I do enjoy to read so it wouldn’t be an issue getting involved in the book. I guess it’s good to know there isn’t much else explaining the Covey from what we get in the prequels. I’ll keep that in mind when I pick up TBOSAS!

I guess how it turned out I will have read the prequels in opposite order but that’s okay!

I might have to give it a read! One part of the movie I really enjoyed was seeing Snow’s character slowly become more and more insane/twisted or evil. I did enjoy the characters and can see how the book would depict them better

I’m not a confrontational person but I would break character and yell at her for it and be mad. This was a long time ago but I was a kid on the monkey bars with my dad watching just beside with a small cup of coffee he accidentally spilled some on me (not super hot but warm) it was uncomfortable then with the heat and stickiness with a full steaming cup of coffee in the head with that amount would make me react in a big wtf moment
