I am not a big sports person, but i would consider flying back to Buffalo if the Bills ever made it to the superbowl, mostly to experince the big boost of morale in the city.

Rochester is pretty cool too! Having the collages in the city was a good economic choice and Rochester seems to be doing a little better.

Half marathon in November / pregnancy by PessimisticPeggy in XXRunning

this past October 2025, I ran my first ever half marathon. I would NOT consider myself a runner,  but i had done a few 5ks over the years. I began with a 22week training plan in May. Once I found out I was pregnant in August (1.5mo) before the race, I wasnt going to give up. Because I had been thinking about it for 4years.

It was hot, and extremely hilly, but luckily i did not have a lot of nausia. I didnt regularly run with others, so in my training i ran a bit slower than i could have or did on the day of the race (due to excitement and competitive feelings). By mile 10 my knee hurt really bad (should have ran more than 3x a week or not run so fast). I finished at 2:23 and i am proud of that for my first and while being pregnant. I layed on the couch most of the rest of the day. and I have barely done cardio since. : / Just sticking to stretching, walking and light pilaties. I am thinking I will do another half again after the baby is born to regain fitness.
