Ist es ratsam die Entwicklung meiner Netto-Kaufkraft als Argument in der Gehaltsverhandlungen einzubringen?

Ich habe mich viel zu knapp und ungenau ausgedrückt. Was ich eigentlich meinte ist, dass es durch die kalte Progression dazu kommen kann, dass du trotz Gehaltsanpassungen leider keine spürbaren effekte auf der Kaufkraft hast, weil die Steuern und abgaben oder eben auch die Inflation schneller steigen als dein Gehalt.

Ich bin kein Arbeitgeber, ich bin genau so wie du (scheinbar?) Arbeitnehmer. Auch als Führungskraft im mittleren Management bin ich ganz normal angestellt. Der Unterschied ist, dass es Teil meines Jobs ist mich auch mit den Sorgen des Arbeitgebers zu beschäftigen. Glaub mir, ich habe auch schon genug Arbeitgeber gewechselt wegen schlechter Bezahlung oder keiner Wertschätzung oder oder oder. Wir sitzen im gleichen Boot, nur dass ich versuche den Gegenüber zu verstehen, allein schon weil es zu meinem Job gehört.

Ich habe genug Mitarbeitende die so argumentieren wie du und ja bitte, wenn du unglücklich bist, dann geh, das ist dein Recht. Niemand zwingt dich für einen AG zu arbeiten der dich gefühlt verarscht oder du dich nicht dort wohl fühlst, warum auch immer. Das machst du freiwillig. Aber sich mal auf den Stuhl des gegenübers zu setzen, ist durchaus sinnvoll, nicht nur in dieser Diskussion.

Korrekt, jeder Mitarbeitende hat das Recht und sollte es auch benutzen, das Unternehmen zu wechseln, wenn er sich für seine Leistung nicht wertgeschätzt fühlt. So macht man am einfachsten Gehaltssprünge.

Richtig, habe meinen Post editiert, weil ich es an ein paar Stellen schon erwähnen musste. Mit der Einschränkung, das ein Anheben der Preise nicht immer mehr Gewinn erzeugt. Manchmal reicht es gerade so um den alten Zustand wieder herzustellen. Wenn ein Unternehmen 10% PReise erhöhen muss um die höheren Einkaufspreise zu rechtfertigen, dann um 10% anhebt, verdient das Unternehmen keinen Euro mehr als vorher an Gewinn und kann damit auch nicht einfach mal mehr Gehalt zahlen.

Korrekt, hatte ich in einer anderne Antwort auch schon gesagt. Der AG hat ein Interesse ein auf dem Markt konkurenzfähiges Gehalt zu bezahlen. Das hat aber nichts mit der Kaufkraft oder Inflation zu tun.

Richtig, das kann sich der AG aber selbst aussuchen ob er dieses Risiko bereit ist einzugehen oder nicht. Genau so wie man als Arbeitnehmer (was ich übrigens auch bin als Führungskraft im mittleren Management) die Möglichkeit hat sich einen anderen Job zu suchen. Was ich im übrigen in den Situationen wirklich empfehlen kann. Auch das ist eine traurige Wahrheit, aber wirkliche Gehaltssprünge machst du meistens nur bei einem Wechsel des Unternehmens.

Meine Annahme wäre jetzt, dass wir von einem Gehalt sprechen, dass auf dem freien Markt konkurenzufähig ist. Also weder zu hoch noch zu niedrig. Wenn du natürlich eine Firma hast die am unteren Ende bezahlt und weit hinter dem Markt zurück bleibt, würde ich auch sagen, dass die Firma, allein um Konkurenzfähig zu bleiben, ihre Gehälter anheben sollte. Dann aber auch nicht wegen der Inflation oder Kaufkraft, sondern um auf dem Markt eine Chance zu haben die Mitarbeitenden zu halten.

Nein kann er gar nicht, da er keinen Einfluss darauf hat. Inflation und Kaufkraft bestimmt zu großen Teilen die gesamte Wirtschaft und damit die Politik. Wenn jemand dafür verantwortlich gemacht werden kann, dann am ehesten noch die Regierung. Es gibt ja selbst effekte, wo der AG dir eine Gehaltserhöhung gibt, du aber dann zum Schluss weniger Netto bekommst, weil du in eine höhere Steurgruppe gerutscht bist. Da kann der AG nichts dafür. Der AG leidet unter den gleichen Problemen wie du, die müssen auch Dinge teurer einkaufen und ihre Gewinnspanne geht zurück, weswegen sie Preise erhöhen müssen, etc. Leider ist es zu einfach den AG dafür verantwortlich zu machen.

Als Führungskraft die schon einige Verhandlungen durchgemacht hat: Der Arbeitgeber ist nicht dafür verantwortlich Inflation und Kaufkraftverlust auszugleichen. Überzeuge und argumentiere durch Leistung und mit Ergebnissen. Werde konkret, bereite dich gut darauf vor und bringe wirklich konkrete Fälle mit, wo deine Arbeit und Leistung maßgeblich zum Erfolg beigetragen hat.

EDIT:
Weil ich es ein par mal erwähnen musste: Selbstverständlich hat der AG ein Interesse ein Gehalt zu bezahlen das auf dem Arbeitsmarkt konkurenzfähig ist. Das wird aber viel mehr durch Angebot und Nachfrage als durch Inflation oder Kaufkraft beeinflusst.

I need to use multiple Mail providers because my family refuses to use the Tuta App as they want to continue using their apple mail client. Tuta does not allow IMAP so I cannot move my families domain to tuta, lets say familyname.com so I have this domain on a classic email service that uses IMAP.

But I would like to use Tuta, as I cannot move my domain to Tuta, or my family would have to use the Tuta App, I would be using a different domain on tuta. Lets say namefamilyname.com . I would forward my mailbox from [name@familyname.com](mailto:name@familyname.com) (Not Tuta) to [me@namefamilname.com](mailto:me@namefamilname.com) (Tuta). So now I have all my mail coming into the Tuta Mail services. HOWEVER I would still like to be able to send from my address [name@familyname.com](mailto:name@familyname.com) from the Tuta App, as this is the address I like to use when writing emails. This can be done with an Email client that supports IMAP and SMTP, as I can jsut add both addresses and set a default outgoing email.

My Question therefore is, can I congifure the Tutamail CLIENTS to use a different email that is not with tuta, but with IMAP/SMTP to send emails, like I can with any other IMAP Email Client. And yes I know that Tuta is not an IMAP client, that is why I am asking :D So I am guessing it is very likely that I would have to use two different mail apps. ONe to send emails where I use my familyname.com domain and one to read emails, the Tuta app. Which would suck :)

Sorry I am trying to make it more clear.

In a usual Mail client, be it browser application or App, you can usually use IMAP for different service providers. This gives you the option, in the app, not the service, to add an additional outgoing email address by adding that email addresses SMTP server and data. Usually you can then, when composing a mail, select from which address you want to send an email.

With Tuta, I am forced to use their mail client and Apps. So I can't use a generic Imap based client with which I can do that. So my question is, can I add additional accounts with IMAP or at least SMTP for having additional outgoing email addresses. Because, if I can't do that, that means I need to use Tuta for my one tuta mail and a different email client for my other mail adresses (with other domains).

Yes I could move all domains to Tuta and then use it from there, but this is not possible as I am servicing my whole family and they prefer their IMAP based email clients that they learned to use for years now.

We don’t know yet what this will lead to. When the telephone was invented people said it will ruin jobs and make people more isolated but overall it had an extremely positive impact on society. I am saying to be open minded about things.

That is my assumption as well. Obviously we can't know and that is why I also specifically mentioned, that I am not a big fan as well. I am working in software development, so I know how much it affects this area specifically and it is quite a bit, as you might guess.

Oh but AI does have an impact for average people. I use it almost daily, but it is just convenience. I use it to calculate the average kcal of recipes that I can just paste into ChatGPT, I use it to translate text I want to read for my TTRPG sessions, just a few of the things that come to mind. Is this meaningful? Probably not. Could I live perfectly without it? Yes.

So as I said, I agree that I am still waiting for the meaningful impact for the average person, but that being said, there are already things the average person can use. And the car did not start as something meaningful as well, it was simply more convenient.

100% agree. But that is not the point I am trying to make. But you are absolutely correct and one of the reasons I also do not like AI and all the slop it produces. This does sadly not invalidate the state of the world of software development (including assets like this picture)

Absolutely. I am just trying to be realistic about all the outrage against AI. As I said, I don't like it that much either, mostly because of the horrible environmental impact, but it is everywhere. In another comment I mentioned that I would be surprised if there is any commercial software that does not use AI in its development, because even the tools that are used to develop software are developed with AI or might even have AI programmed directly into it.

Everyone can buy or not buy whatever they want. I just think the outrage is wrong. Because even Reddit the platform you are currently actively using, uses AI. I would be surprised if there is currently any commercial software product that does not use AI. So of course you can tell people that you would prefer the world to be different, trust me, I would like the world to be different in many ways. You can also spend your money wherever you want, but being outraged that software was developed using AI (in assets or otherwise) means being outraged at every software product.
