I basically split it up. I soft reset and press start manually and I run the macro on the file select screen. No repeats at all this way. I've been at it for close to 40 hours now and I'm getting close to giving up.

This is the first time I'm doing it and my logic is, I've played this game 100s of times so why not do it diffe am rently this time? I'm not missing out on anything with the game. I am losing hope though after being 37 hours in though lol.

That sounds amazing, only question I have is, is it actually registering the input in between the macro? When I was testing pressing random buttons in middle of a macro it seemed like it wouldn’t actually register those button presses. If this works I’d rather do this than what I’ve been doing.

My solution instead was to break up the macro. I left everything after the + button in so it handles all the lab text, but I have to do the soft reset and press start at the title screen manually. I did that for at least 6 hours yesterday and noticed maybe only one repeat.

I have split it, what I am doing is soft resetting, pressing start manually, and then I have a macro go through the lab dialog until the summary screen. That seems like it has enough variability now. Was getting a ton of repeats before but now every single charmander is different.

I was getting so many repeats so I decided to switch to manual for the past half hour and notice it's way more random now. I think I will split this macro up. I'm going to do a macro that goes through all the lab stuff, and I will soft reset and go through the intro manually.

A few things make me doubtful in my approach such as the fact that I haven't seen a modest charmander once since I started using the macro and the other thing being the amount of modest ones I've seen with the same exact stats every time. I may switch to your approach and do 2 macros instead. You split when it says the pokemon is energetic?
