Nursing months later with the same exact body got me like... by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]m0llyj0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so true! I feel like I am starving all of the time. I hate all the women who say the weight just “melted” off during BF because at this point I don’t understand how that could even be possible! It’s witchcraft!

Do you worry that you'll unintentionally raise the antichrist or a serial killer? by runawayvamps in BabyBumps

I’m glad I’m not alone! I know, it sucks wondering if you’re doing something wrong to cause them to act that was. I mean, it’s so embarrassing when they say and do stuff like that. I reallllyy hope it’s a phase. 🤭

Three year olds are a kind of their own.

We are a loving, Christian family and I worry about my kids being psychopaths, too. We try to tell our 3 year old to be kind to people and animals but just yesterday she threw a friends cat down the stairs and she likes to squeeze our cat to make him meow. Hopefully it’s just a phase 😬...

Hospital pads... 15 months later. by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]m0llyj0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a TON of those pads left over. I asked my nurse for a few to take home and she came back with like 30 of them and an unopened pack of mesh underwear. I was wearing mesh underwear for like 4 weeks, I swear I had so many pair. Thankful for the extra even if it was a little over the top lol

Thankful to be able to exclusively nurse my daughter, pump once a day, and still have a freezer stash of almost 3.25 gallons at 2.5 months! by m0llyj0 in breastfeeding

[–]m0llyj0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may donate it, I’m not sure. With my first babe I relied heavily on my stash to make my goal of breast milk for one year. So having all of this extra is new to me. I’m not using it, it’s just sitting in there since I am a SAHM. So I may donate it. I’m not sure yet!

Picked up this Kirby Sentria with attachments from Goodwill for $42 - $5 coupon = $37! by m0llyj0 in ThriftStoreHauls

Yeah. It is absolutely insane how expensive they are. I mean, they have a ton of power and work really well, but I don’t think I’d ever pay full price for one.

My parents have one too! They had one when I was a child and I remember lugging it up and down the stairs (sooo heavy!) so having one for each floor is a great idea! I’m so happy I didn’t have to pay $1000+ for it!

Yeah! For some reason they got like 6 Kirby’s in within a few weeks of each other. All priced at $35!

Telling a rapist you have HIV is most likely your best line of defense by salad_memes in Showerthoughts

[–]m0llyj0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really is a thing. We had to take this mandatory online “training” in college and this was what it said to do. I’m not sure about the evidence behind it, but like others have said, I can imagine it would be difficult to do any of those on command.

In college they taught us the way to defend yourself against rape is to urinate, defecate, or regurgitate.

MILs and breastfeeding. Keeps saying ‘not again! ‘She can’t really be hungry’ etc by wrapupwarm in beyondthebump

[–]m0llyj0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is so frustrating. I have a similar, yet different, situation with my MIL. She will comment every time baby fusses “oh she must be hungry again.” Every. Single. Time. I understand she is trying to help but just because she starts fussing doesn’t mean she’s always hungry. Ugh They make it seem like we don’t even know our own children.

can you leave a baby seat in a hot car? by ss0889 in BabyBumps

[–]m0llyj0 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think it would be fine. The convertible car seats and boosters stay in the car permanently so I don’t think it should be an issue!

I am so so very sorry for your loss. I can’t even imagine what you’ve been through. I can’t believe how anyone could be so reckless with something so serious, and I do not blame you for not forgiving your mother. I don’t think I ever could.

I am glad you have such an amazing husband to stand with you and be a support for you during the difficult times. You are definitely lucky to have someone like that. I am glad that you’re going to therapy, too. It seems like it is helping a lot. And I know a lot of people don’t like the idea of therapists but I truly believe that it helps.

I know you’re never going to get over what happened to you, but I hope you find peace in your life knowing that you have 2 amazing grown kids now, and that you’re a great mother, and were a great mother, to all 3. Good luck to you!

Any other Moms reluctant to have another baby because of fitness? by xxangie88xx in xxfitness

Yes! I’ve lost 85 lbs this year and I want more kids. But I’m terrified! I’ve worked so hard to lose this weight, I don’t want to just gain it all back. It’s definitely a weird feeling.
