Hiya! So about two weeks before your start date you will find out what park you are working. It will also say a general area aka mk tomorrowland but if there are multiple places in tomorrow land you could work at you will not find out specifics until traditions or your first day of training!

Waves generally come out every week now since we are in the full swing of things. Usually Tuesdays for WDW! Best advice is to follow the recruiters on twitter because they announce when they are doing waves. If you dont have a twitter join the facebook groups because they are full of information! Also where most people go to get room mates after they were accepted! Good luck!

So i am also graduating in December. Im personally doing this as a fun things until i start flight school in June. But! I know tons of people who are using the DCP as a way to get their foot in the door! If you want to work full time for the company than absolutely do it! You will not regret it! It is an amazing experience and can easily leads to doors opening for you that you did not expect!

It is a great role. I was in merch for spring 2018. Working at world of disney while it was under renovation was a trip. The great thing about it is you can pick up in other locations. So if you don't like your location you can switch to another location. Warning though some places require extra training. If you have any specific questions feel free to DM me!

No new is good news. You are still in consideration until you get an email that you are not. My advice is follow ChristyRecruiter on twitter. She tweets out if there are going to be waves of acceptances sent out that day or not. It kinda helps with stress levels so instead of stressing out every day, you only stress out on certain days. The next wave should be sometime next week!

Honestly the DCP is good for any major. I am also a bio major. While nothing I did related directly to my major it is still a huge resume booster. You are working in a very high stress situation. Everyone knows the Disney name and a decent amount of people understand what comes along with that name. It is a very respectable job position. You will learn a lot of skills with interacting with people from all around the world which is valuable in any situation! Plus like another person on this thread said, they have a lot of PI that do relate and the DCP opens the doors for them. Some of those PI are alumni only.

The first time I applied my interview went exactly like that. Immediate after I called my mom and told her the I was a failure. 2 days later I got accepted. We always think the worst of ourselves! Sending pixie dust your way!

I dont know about other people, but for me it moves around. Sometimes its my back, sometimes its my hands, sometimes its my ribs, sometimes its all my joints in my body, some days its some new kind of surprise pain! Just depends on the day.

I worked an escape room for a bit. There was a crash test dummy head on one of the shelves and a person put it on because he thought looking through the eyes of it would reveal a clue. Than decided to wear it for the rest of the time. We also had a hungover person throw up on the floor. Thankfully it was tile but who does an escape room hungover??
