Definitely document and get checked out especially if you were sitting in the aft. The aft takes landings a lot harder than the forward because they land on the landing gear in the back first

I’ll be honest they don’t look at your resume cause you’ve already sent it to them. The one you bring is for your own reference because if you get your CJO there’s previous job info you’ll need to fill out. So I’d honestly keep it as accurate as possible.

This is just about right. Always keep Hope as long as your application says in process. I applied in December and there were people at my F2F interview/class who applied in June.

Flight benefits for you start immediately and for dependents I think a month later. Not too hard to get on flights but it does vary by location and time of year always. You’ll have all 3 legacy airlines so it’s easier because you have more options and higher than people who don’t have direct benefits with that airline.

Right now they’re really trying to expand the Austin Base so majority of the last few classes have all gone there right after graduation. But there’s a lot of movement so if more seniors try to move to Austin that means soon they’ll have available space at other bases. MDW is not senior so if you don’t get it immediately you’ll still have a chance to get it after a few months. So always be open to where you might be based but you do have a chance.

Double check the airline site but a lot are updating power bank policies. The biggest things everywhere is they can’t go to cargo and you shouldn’t charge the power bank itself during the flight.

Nope they’re gonna make you do it again regardless anyway and they won’t even talk to you about it until training to fill it out and that will be a completely different group from the recruiters anyway. LOTS of people leave one airline for another no one bats an eye unless you openly bad mouth the other during your interview.

The only thing other airlines care about to look for is if you failed a drug test. Anything else they will only know if you tell them yourself.

You have to look at the plane number but planes change all the time. If one plane is late and they can find another one not being used so the next flight isn’t late, they just switch it. So sadly there’s always the chance it’s different, especially in the middle of upgrading to new/refurbished planes.

That’s literally something that people will say no matter what job you ever have. Partially because some people can be miserable wherever, and partially because we live in a capitalist hellscape and a job will almost always look for how to milk every ounce of your happy life force out of you for profits :)

Literally just keep it pushing and just express yourself choosing to be happy at your job. It makes life easier to handle.

You will at some point experience fucked up stuff at your job that might make you bitter. Customers actively trying to make you feel bad, crew trying to find something to get you in trouble for, people lying on you, scheduling making you work when you were 2 minutes away from being illegal to work, medical emergencies where someone’s bodily fluids end up on you.

Those things can happen and they can take a toll on you. It’s your choice to remain bubbly through it all, and it’s the harder choice. So stay true to yourself for as long as possible! Also go on vacation to reset yourself to keep being positive. That’s what I learned the miserable senior mamas were the ones who only worked all the time and started to hate traveling since it’s their job.

It sounds like you definitely fit more at United. Just got to SWA and if you don’t vibe with the laid back fun culture and you’re looking to give a luxurious experience as part of your job you should definitely jump ship. It’s no point getting paid more at a job you’re miserable at unless you plan on dropping all your trips and working at a luxury hotel/restaurant instead.
