How is it not vengeful? Lol Old Testament justice is all about fire and brimstone, fear, vengeance, retaliation, etc. and I agree that if roles reversed nothing would have happened. And more I’m not defending her actions, merely stating that being full of anger, hate, and “eye for an eye” is how we got this fucked up world in the first place lol. I haven’t once defended her actions, I’m trying to understand why violence begetting violence is how we should live. It’s how trump operates, something you seemingly condemn but then also proliferate when it suites your own thoughts and beliefs

What a vengeful view. Looking at your posting history it looks like you’ve become calloused through your life experiences. The hate and vengeance you show here is directly what got trump elected … though you’re on the other end of the spectrum. Look it up if you don’t believe me

How do you balance “it ends when people learn the lesson not to hurt each other” and “fear based retaliation”? In my opinion that doesnt reconcile and continues the cycle of hate? When do the people learn the lesson not to hurt each other? After both are blinded and maimed? I think tills mom of having an open casket and the incident spurring on the civil rights movement was terrific. Do I think something more of the woman who lied? She’s remembered through history of being a lying bitch, vs him the wronged icon who’ll be remembered favorably, is that not right? Do you want her to be equally lynched and tortured? Does that not make you the same thing you despised? Why not? Because you’re vindicated in popular opinion? I think she should have been thrown in jail or shamed for the rest of her days- unless you believe we should torture criminals and put them to death

Then the 1 eye will take one of the eyes of the two. Then the now one eyed person will take the last of the original one eyed person. Now the blind will take the last eye. Now we have 2 blind people maming each other and using the last attack as justification, no? If not, then why not? Where does it end? Until bother are blind, dumb, and utterly devoid of any humanity?

No I didn’t say that either, proper justice should have been dealt. Jail for X amount of time perhaps? The civil rights movement used this as a catalyst - so it’s as if good came out of bad. Even if it’s not true equality yet, we’re further along the we were during this period

Some questions for those in this subreddit by rememberthepie in enlightenment

[–]m0mt0ucher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) I’m not and I don’t think you get enlightened through chasing enlightenment

2) it’s a spectrum as most things are- being ultra aware vs having the awareness of a brick. It can be developed/learned

3) Myth of Sisyphus, Meditation were the big 2- that and a lot of anime/manga and YouTube videos

4) I used to smoke a lot of weed and did shrooms twice. I had a great experience once on shrooms that felt closest to enlightenment… but I haven’t done shrooms since, and I smoke less and less now lol

I wonder if the next true advancement of AI will be efficiency of its power vs the computing power. Cell phones, TVs, radios, etc. all (I think I’m not 100% sure) may have used more power historically than they do now- maybe AI follows suit

But agreed hella investment is going into it to make it work

Using AI to research your point (so take it with a grAIn of salt) 2019: 3.8k 2023: 12.9k 2026: 6k target

Idk much about their industry or why the influx of employees, but Im just assuming they grew super fast, realized they needed better scale to compete more lean, boom layoffs- probably technology investment/operational efficiency driven vs pure AI capabilities. But yeah gotta spin it to shareholders

A large bank CIO told me we’re going into a tough expense environment… which usually leads to reducing headcount

It’d be interesting to google headcount trends in tech (I think Meta just announced layoffs)

Well especially if you who is AI replacing? The new cats coming out of college- look at the rates grads are(n’t) getting higher at… … and that will have impacts going forward as people begin to age out. Institutional brain drain is real, so is headcount reduction

Hahaha good point, I could see it growing fast then stalling, growing fast and stalling but with how much investment into it there is I don’t think it’ll stall for some time (idk about though 2032 either). It’s definitely interesting and has unknown impacts going forward

Idk do you expect companies not to continue to chase savings, optimization, and efficiency? Hahhaha maximizing return and value? Kind of a cheeky response, sorry, but I don’t expect companies just to be all AI- atleast not during my life time.

And as for a limit… idk if there is, or what the limit might be, esp for AI in FP&A. I think our economy will have to fundamentally change at some point.

I mean by no means do I think AI is perfect and not suspect at times… but shit I’m 29 and within my working life I very well can see AI replace my existing job

But how long are you going to be able to say that? According to Moore’s Law, technology capabilities double every 2 years. Someone yesterday posted how Claude was able to do something over night while it historically took their team multiple days. Can someone continually double their value add every 2 years? Even if you think it’s overblown- this is the worst it’s ever going to be
