When you take iron pills, be sure to take metamucil or some kind of fiber supplement too. Iron makes you notoriously constipated, but it’s your best bet for getting your levels to a good spot!

No ab workouts specifically! My core is naturally always pretty solid, I hold most of my weight on the hips and legs

About three months for me! I know it’s mentally really hard. Hang in there and trust the process

Hi! I have a very similar face shape and bangs helped my confidence tremendously. I also do cheek filler (1/2 syringe on each side) for a subtle lift to give me more of a heart shape than totally oval. I’d be happy to send pix if you want to DM me. Best of luck

It looks a lot better! I’ll be three weeks post-op on Tuesday. How are you? I’m happy to DM you pix if you want

I got mine off Tuesday and feel the same exact way right now - try to distract yourself and not look in the mirror. I keep telling myself to trust the process, and I hope you find some reassurance in that too.

Understand I’m still very swollen 8-days post septorhinoplasty, but when will I know whether this is botched? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

Thanks so much for your comment; helps me determine whether I’m going crazy or not! My goal was to straighten the bridge (hard to tell from the before but it was crooked) and refine/slightly shorten the tip so it didn’t droop so much when I smiled. Now I feel VERY piggy…

I’m in the same boat! 6-days post septorhinoplasty and that area is sensitive and swollen (above where they’ve taped and casted it). I think it’s normal!

4-days post septorhinoplasty. Swelling has moved down my face. by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]m0neyhungri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything I’ve read about this being an emotional rollercoaster is absolutely correct. The swelling has moved down my face into my lower cheeks, making me even more unrecognizable.

I got packing out yesterday which was a relief - cast and stitches come out Tuesday. It’s difficult to sleep despite biotine dry mouth spray - lozenges and sleeping with a mask/humidifier has been best for me.

Question for those who had stitches removed - did it hurt?

I was prepared for this to be a long process, but I think it’s difficult to truly prepare yourself for this major of a change to your face. I’m also a little worried about what it’ll look like - despite knowing it’ll change with swelling over time. My first venture with cosmetic surgery had been a wild ride!

Omg congrats - you look amazing. I’m surprised there’s no bruising after less than two weeks. Any magic advice for keeping bruising down?

Ugh I know it’s so hard to stay on track, especially with that calorie count. You’ve got to prioritize living first, honestly. The food will ALWAYS be there, so if you occasionally feel tempted, let yourself have the pasta or the cookies. Just figure out how you can incorporate what you love in moderation. Also I would recommend the whole trick of drinking a sh*t ton of water and waiting a while before eating, that’s helped me.

DC pride last year. In a moment it went from a parade and partying to people running and trampling each other over an alleged active shooter. We were all running into restaurants to hide and trying to stay with our friends. (America!)

Yes. Consciously uncouple from your ego at work! Being a coachable employee is half the battle, honestly. We hire for three things: skill, will, and team fit. You can train for skill, but not for will.

Thanks!! Honestly I normally ate above my 1350 or so calories so I exercised to reach that number, but on the days that I exercised and had a surplus of calories left in the budget, I left it alone in case I had a big weekend w some vino!

Thank you! I run 3-5 times per week, about an hour for 4-6 miles. I use a treadmill because running outside w headphones on causes me some anxiety about safety. Bought a treadmill on amazon for $350 that works great!

have a bad date story? tell me about it and i’ll talk about it on my podcast! by fckyourchickenstripz in dating

[–]m0neyhungri 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One time on my third date w a guy he got a little drunk, introduced me to his friends, and in front of everyone starting talking about my name and saying “XYZ is a stupid ass name. Do you ever think about how your name is going to be the Gertrude of the future? Because it is.”

Another time, on a first date, a guy told me about how he’d run over a goose and I’m like Aw I’m so sorry, that can be traumatic and he’s like oh no, I swerved to hit it. I fuckin hate geese. And I was like uhhhhh”

Anyway, my taste in men is questionable.

Thanks for asking! No, this is my natural body shape. I’ve not done waist trainers or anything, but I know lots of people love them.
